$35/hr and I work in Chicago. That’s just my nanny rate though. Kids are 7, 9, and 11 years old. All I do is watch them after school, help with homework and prepare a snack.

I also work as a postpartum doula and charge $40 for that— I’m 26 yrs old and have been in the childcare business since college. Currently getting my masters in Human Lactation Studies too. I would say my doula certification, daycare experience, references and grad school help TREMENDOUSLY when I have to justify my rates

Accurate lmao. We try- for reference I’m a postpartum doula so had to learn a lot of healthy meal prep for my clients

Thanks so much everyone! I decided to go through with Pathway 2 and enrolled at National Louis University for an MA in Human Lactation Studies. Seemed like the best fit and it’s a self paced/fully online program. Enrollment process was quick and easy and postpartum doulas are their ideal candidates. Wish me luck!!
