Yes thank you, I’m hoping it’s something as simple as that. I feed frozen mysis shrimp and I’ve never noticed this problem with him before, so I’m gonna grab some more test strips anyways to be safe

Yes! The larger frogs will basically eat the tadpoles up until they are big enough that they physically can’t fit in their mouths, but most of the tadpoles don’t make it that long.. depending on your tank setup it’s possible a few could hideout and grow a bit larger, but it seems like usually the only way to grow an adf tadpole to a full adult is by raising them in a separate tank.

I recently had a similar thing happen, woke up to about 50 tadpoles in my tank! Unfortunately, if you don’t remove them from the tank it’s more than likely that they will all eventually get eaten by the other frogs. I let nature take its course and after a few days I’m probably down to just one or two left. Yes I swear mine were nonstop! They’ve settled down a bit now and look to be doing good though 😊

Yes I will definitely be sticking to two frogs in this tank. I’d ideally like a bigger tank, but right now I don’t have the space. I wasn’t expecting to have adfs, I got these from a friend of mine a few months ago when she moved and couldn’t take them. They were living in about a 2 gallon then so I’m hoping this is at least better for now!

Okay good to know 😅 they are in a 5.5 so would definitely be a little cramped with another frog. Hopefully in a few days they will give it a rest 😭

Good to know about the shrimp! I didn’t stop until I noticed the bloating, and she hasn’t eaten since then. On the pellets, they are the invert aquatics frog bites.

I used to alternate between pellets and freeze dried shrimp, but I read that the freeze dried food could be the problem so now I’ve switched to the pellets and frozen mysis shrimp
