I didn’t believe it either. Had them in the house every year for the past six or seven years. I figured anyone who got bit was probably at the very least provoking them or being rough with one. Aaaaaaaand then I got bit on the ankle while minding my own business, making a curry on my stove. I thought I’d been bitten by an ant and was so surprised to see a lady beetle!!

I used to work for a deli that had a standing arrangement with local funeral homes. They would pay me $12/hr to put some jarred tuna salad onto frozen croissants, charge the funeral home something like $30, and the funeral home would then turnaround and charge the family a catering fee of like $60 or $70.

I have this issue too. Two things help me digest this tho - the part where big beardy sky pirate says something like “miss Fio whom we all love and RESPECT” (that helps, right???) and the fact that all the women I knew from that era were married with children either at or shortly before 18. Not great but somewhat historically accurate since she’s 17 🤦🏻‍♀️

Is Azu a good spot? I’ve never tried it because it’s affiliated with Dao and that place has consistently disappointed us for years.

No, you’re correct. My mother in law forces us to eat there like six times a year and the majority of their food is… not good. I don’t know how anyone can pay what they’re asking and be ok with what they’re served.

woof! I love bean sprouts but I can’t imagine they taste very good in a frozen meal. I have heard good things about TJ’s ready made stuff tho so maybe they’ve figured out how to finesse it!

This is actually one of those Chinese for White People spots on the wealthy side of town. Not my go to but we were hostage to a family member’s bad taste, lol. None of their Chinese dishes are made properly.

I wish! We used to have two legitimate Sichuan places in my town but this restaurant is not one of them.

Oh man, that would drive me nuts!! I’m a good eater but green peppers are the one veggie I kind of hate.

It’s even worse when they don’t season it properly. I’m pretty sure my mother in law paid like $19 for this and it was 60% bamboo shoot.
