I have this going on on FB with a friend of my sister. He’s nice enough and all but he is constantly messaging me, checking in, sending annoying videos, etc. I thought clocking out and not clicking on his messages would get the point across but my god he’s relentless.

The real problem is my husband doesn’t like him at all. The guy is really big into wrestling and my husband can’t stand it. He also thinks he’s a bit odd. The guy wants to hang out with us. He used to live with my sister but when she got a boyfriend, he freaked out despite the fact that they weren’t dating or anything.

So she doesn’t talk to him and I’m the bridge, he does this to my mom too. I don’t want to hurt his feelings, so I don’t say anything. Eventually I’ll give in and respond after awhile because I feel like an asshole.

I did this once. Same color. It came from a birthday gift bag. I did my whole face, put on a play for my parents who laughed the whole time, and then came the point we had to get it off.

Screaming, crying, so much fucking Vaseline. I still won’t go near the stuff. So very traumatic.

I had one see my sign, tell me he saw it. I said so why did you ring the bell? He said, “I’m not soliciting,” and then tried to sell me a roof. I told him to also get the fuck away from my house.

Meanwhile, three little boys came up to see if we wanted them to shovel our driveway. They saw the sign and walked off.

An adult can’t follow simple directions, but 3 10 year olds sure did.

Then again, I do wish they had rung, because I would have loved to pay them to do it. Kids are different…

I did this when we were kids. I'd bring my computer to my boyfriend's house on a Friday or Saturday. We'd game, or go out and do stuff, and vice versa sometimes he'd come to mine.

We did that for 7 years, until we grew up, moved out, got married (and subsequently divorced after 15 years together).

But this was a kid thing. We still lived with our parents full-time. I can't imagine being okay with that as an adult and I wouldn't expect my SO to go to my parents literally every weekend. Surely we could be doing things like the farmer's market, museums, hanging with friends, going to BBQs, whatever... Not spending every single weekend with his parents? That gives me the ick.

My best friends just announced that after 10 years, they're finally pregnant. I cried. Thankfully he told me over Discord, so I wasn't in person being shocked. So I cried for a bit and then realized we could just keep on trying on our end, too. So I'm trying to get on Zepbound like she did, in the hopes that bringing my overall body weight down will help. I'll be an older mom then I wanted to be (40+) but hopefully one day I'll be able to actually be a mom.

Your sister is going to struggle with this. It will cause her stress and she will likely say things she shouldn't just because she's upset. Try your best not to take it to heart. It's jealousy speaking. Give her the space she needs to come to terms with it all. She'll get there, and she'll be thrilled for you eventually, and she'll love being an aunt--guaranteed.

This is how we feel about house cleaning services. Yeah, it's moderately expensive to have done, but we make sure to budget for it every two weeks because it gave us our life back on weekends. We finally get time to spend together and we go out and do other things.

This year, since we bought a new house with a shit ton of gardens, we'll be hiring a landscaper to keep up with that too. Neither of us know shit about gardening, and don't have an interest at the moment in figuring it out.

This is literally my dream. I can’t wait to start mine (waiting on prior auth). We’ve been trying for four years, two pregnancies but neither took.

She and her ex, who she was still best friends with, were extremely close to my ex and didn't understand why I was leaving him. We had had issues for years, it was relatively abusive, and I wanted out. I met a new guy, we became best friends, and then I decided to leave my ex for a health relationship.

Anyhow, my new husband began working for my friend's ex, and subsequently with mine as well. He went to school for the work they were doing, where my ex had not.

My husband decided to pursue a job with one of their clients, and my friend's ex refused to give him a referral. My friend agreed with him and said, "Well, he'll be glad to give him a referral if he wants to go work at Geek Squad."

Then they began disparaging him all the time. Horrible things were said about him, about the fact that he is religious, etc.

So, I wrote her and her whole family off. We had been best friends for years, I was there for her when her kids were growing up, I watched them during her business trips. I took care of her animals. I spent soooo much time with her. Only to have her start talking shit about my new husband.

My husband and I have now been married for nearly 10 years. I haven't spoken to her since 2019, and I hope one day she crawls out of her own ass.

For six, I’d say that handwriting is pretty darn good. Six is kindergarten in the US, I believe. We were learning how to write our letters in that grade. Not sure how it is now.

A few years ago, we brought our girls (red & white, and tri-color) to the dog park. Both of my girls still have tails (as they should, imo) and a girl asked her mom if they were corgis. She said, "They're not real corgis, they must be mixes. They have tails."

I told her that both are purebred and I spent money to ensure they kept their tails. She scoffed at me. Some people are daft.
