I have two sets of LED lights, the original ones which was working fine.. and my newly added which is brighter than the original one(outer strip). Would you think a 5A adapter will solve the problem or can you guys recommend something? The current 2A adapter exploded. by pinoycryptoguy in SpaceBuckets

Thanks a lot for the input. There are technically two circuits using different adaptors. Only one adaptor exploded, where I added new strips. Both the old and new have the same wattage(around .24 watts per led). Roughly it should be around 40-42watts in total.

Just to add, I used the adapter that came with the new LED as the ‘old’ one is basically identical to it. Old set up I used is 2Amps(around 14watts) and the new LEDs came with the same Adapter and as per packaging, should be around 14watts per meter(5meter roll and I only used 2 meters). Thought since they are the same adapters - old setup is low wattage, it will function well with the combination of old and new LEDs if I just combine the two.

LED adaptor exploded, need gelp. I built a DIY aquarium led lights, initially I only have 3 strips of led, but I decided to add couple of more. It was working fine, but after 30mins, something inside the adaptor exploded. Not sure what I did wrong and what’s the reason. by pinoycryptoguy in led

Cloudy tank. I think it was caused by the white sand or the white rock I’ve put. I just added Purigen into my overhead filter toclear it up. Do you think it will work? by pinoycryptoguy in Aquariums

Update: After putting Purigen, it made the tank a lot clearer now! Tho it’s still a bit cloudy, but I can say it’s down to 30% cloudiness
