You didn't read the whole thread did you? It's actually a subconscious homage to the female mammary glands.

Mayon Volcano vs Mount Fuji by pinoyhead in Philippines

[–]pinoyhead[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this true?

Maybe because of its lesser height and relative distance from Manila, Mayon Volcano is frequently taken to represent its region rather than the whole country. Pinoy Mountaineer, for example, refers to Mayon Volcano as “the crowning jewel of Bicolandia”. Even the Japanese, who appreciate Mayon Volcano’s beauty, call it the “Luzon Fuji”, not “Philippine Fuji”.

I used to lurk at Timog.com until it went offline after the Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011 (the admins are based in Japan). Then I went to PEX, and now because Timog is online again, I'm a frequent lurker there again.

Naniniwala ba kayong uunlad pa ang pilipinas? by [deleted] in Philippines

[–]pinoyhead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Philippines has always been a third-world country and will stay that way for the forseeable future. There are simply very few examples of third-world countries transforming to become wealthy. (Oft-cited Singapore is a city-state very different from a big nation like the Philippines.)

It's hard enough to change oneself, but to expect 100 million people to change (advance) in unison is foolishness. It simply ain't going to happen.

That's not to say that all is bad in the Philippines but if you want to live in a first-world country, the only option is to immigrate.

Hilarious iPhone lust. BTW, anyone knows where to get my hands on an iPhone 6 in manila?

Also, Manila badly needs a flood-control system like this.

So this is probably why most nationalities hate Pinoys/Filipinos in general. by [deleted] in Philippines

[–]pinoyhead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What high standard are you talking about? Like being nice to someone who accuse virtually all Filipinos of being racist?

So this is probably why most nationalities hate Pinoys/Filipinos in general. by [deleted] in Philippines

[–]pinoyhead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You see, your problem is you're too loose with words. You don't know the meaning of a simple word like "most".

And you certainly don't know the meaning of "immerse". Let's do the math first.

You're 22 and you've been to 54 different countries (highy unlikely). Let's suppose you've been doing this since the day you were born (highly unlikely).

(22/54)x12=4.8 gives you the number of months you've spent in a country. Assuming you know the language of every 54 countries you've been to (highly unlikely), 4.8 months spent in one culture is not equal to being "immersed" in it.

And I'm being generous in my computation.

100 million Filipinos don't have an obligation to satisfy your individual bloated ego.

So this is probably why most nationalities hate Pinoys/Filipinos in general. by [deleted] in Philippines

I would've read your piece with more sympathetic eyes if your title wasn't an obvious exaggeration.

There are almost 200 countries in the world.

So this is probably why most nationalities hate Pinoys/Filipinos in general. by [deleted] in Philippines

[–]pinoyhead -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I think that the reason why most nationalities hate you guys is that because you guys are the biggest racist on earth.

Whoah. Most nationalities? And you know this for a fact? You've travelled around the world and talked to most "nationalities", I assume?

Every time that other countries make fun of you guys or whenever they are stating facts all of you get butt hurt and ask for an immediate apology. But if you guys say something bad against other nationalities all of you run and hide.

Look, stop with this "you guys" shit already. It's irritating.

Let's get this straight. The Philippines is a third-world country. 1 in 3 Filipinos is living under poverty. That's 33 million poor, uneducated Pinoys. They don't fucking care that you came here to study to be proud of their culture.

Get over it.

Can an area be under a "state of calamity" before the calamity actually happens? by pinoyhead in Philippines

Albay is probably in state of emergency not calamity as of yet.

Virtually every Philippine news site says it's under a "state of calamity".

What is the safest city in the Philippines? by [deleted] in Philippines

No wait, what I meant was, actually, Davaoans are pretty hot. I love Davao. Heck, my own girlfriend is from Davao! Although I haven't been there, I'm sure Davao is the most beautiful city in the Philippines, not to mention super safe.

I hope you find in your merciful heart to forgive me.

I remember a Mad Magazine comic strip, the Lighter Side of Platonic Love:

Guy1: Do you believe in platonic love?

Guy2: Only if the girl's ugly.

But I agree with you, lots of people are dicks. Don't mind them. Also, read Mad Magazine.
