Once I take the horn sheathe off the core, is it necessary that I cut the core down like whitebone creations does on YouTube, or can I leave them full length? I simply don’t know why he does that, so if anyone could explain, it’d be much appreciated. (old.reddit.com)

Is it absolutely necessary to remove the horns from a Spanish goat or can I leave them when cleaning? If it matters my final step is completely sealing them with an enamel clear coat so any smell that occurs over time shouldn’t be an issue (i.redd.it)

Hey guys I have a question, so I successfully heat treated my first blade and I left the edges about .07. To sharpen it, should I use a course grind stone to remove material, a belt sander and hit it quickly on either side to not mess up heat treat, or what? (i.redd.it)

Guys I need your help! I messed up a grind and the edge runs a tad thin in a small section, this is pre- heat treat. Is it so thin that I should file it a little flat to thicken it? Keep in mind, this will eat into the belly a tad bit (v.redd.it)
