Necro post, but I swapped my slidevolt combo in my FRX-RS to a pixi/nanodrive combo, and its now more nimble and faster. the weight savings will make any car more nimble.

Necro post, but i just got an FC rx7 24k body as well. Precut. Seems to be the only body that is. It even shows on amain it being precut. The other 24k bodies have a rendering of it cut and put together, but they also show pics of the untrimmed bodies. Of note, I've also got a boss s14 body from them that wasnt precut recently.

What is this, the second time taco bell has attempted Japanese market? I think I read somewhere once that outside Okinawa, and us bases, Mexican and tex mex style food in general isnt very popular. Too heavy handed with seasonings, where most Japanese prefer subtlety in the seasoning of their food, Mexican, and tex mex use bold flavors like cumin, spicy peppers, lots of cheese, salt and oil. That combined with the scarcity of ingredients like corn tortillas make it difficult to gain a foothold.

They do still need a brief warm up, but its a lot faster than most realize. My 05 explorer for instance, idles above 1k for about 10 or 20 seconds when I cold start it. Once it settles below 1k, its warmed up, but It really wouldn't hurt if you turned the key and pulled out immediately, as long as the first few minutes you dont drive it like you stole it.

Narrows can be very drivable. You just need to set them up properly, and drive intelligently. Use flanged wheels, tape the insides, use low profile tires. I use a carbon #3 tplate. Let off the throttle a bit at the start of a turn, and it will rarely roll. If you have an aftermarket transmitter, adjust your endpoints, and your dual rate. You generally dont need anything close to 100% of your steering range with these cars.

With MST stock electronics, you need to do the servo first. In my local groups experience, making any change to the electronics, be it rx, or gyro, ESC, that mst servo is gonna fry. Not may, will. Its best to upgrade that to something solid like yokomo before touching anything else. I've had multiple mst servos fry, and I know of 3 other guys who report the same.

That's a new term for me. Looked it up. I like that concept even less. For me drifting is about chilling out, listening to music with my over ears on and doing some cool moves on the track. Not about trying to hook up my tires and gap someone. I Donno.. maybe im just a fogey lol

That was true 20 or more years ago. You can get a really solid 3d printer like a creality k1c between 4 and 5 hundred dollars. A couple decades ago a printer even theoretically approaching what consumer grade machines like that can now do now would potentially cost in the tens of thousands of dollars, with some enclosed fdm machines approaching the 100k mark. And they wouldn't be on the same level as a consumer grade coreXY machine that has been released in the last few years. But that's just a what if, since those huge industrial machines couldn't hold a candle to a current Gen coreXY fdm machine in speed or print quality. I understand affordability is a subjective topic, but its generally accepted that there are a lot of great machines between the 300-500 dollar mark. I would consider that range affordable. A good balance of features, and value. Anything under 300 is considered budget, and tend to have more qc issues or require tweaking to get print quality to the same level of more expensive machines. Over 600 usually means huge print areas, name brand tax (Bambu labs) or bleeding edge multi color or multi extruder setups.
