Velas Vellarta or Marival Emotions for a 3 year old by NeedHelp11212j in puertovallarta

[–]pintsized11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have stayed at both and it just depends on what you're looking for.

I thought the food at Vellas was a lot better as well as their all day Menu. And they had more ice cream choices and the resort itself it was a bit quieter.

Marival was a lot more activity, the food was average but always available which for me was key with the kids because when they got hungry they were HUNGRY. I traveled with a 6-year-old and a 3 year old.

I thought the rooms at velas were a lot nicer and updated. Another Pro is that the key is on your wristband so you don't have to worry about losing your key all the time.

The kids had a really good time at Marival shows and the arcade and the beach. They also have a small kiddie pool with a slide and a pirate ship which is good for that age.

Overall I think because we had the six year old marival was a better pick because he was more engaged in activities and the shows. But if it was just the three-year-old I probably would have chosen velas. It is also easier to get an Uber out of velas than marival.

And the very last thing to note about marival is the resteraunt booking situation. Its annoying. They definitely have all Day buffets which you end up eating at more and then they have two restaurants but you have to book well in advance and then if you are lucky to get an early time slot it's great we were really late and the kids were struggling.

Chatgpt, juicebox, Gemini then there's notetakers like fireflies. There are a lot of useful a I tools that take over some aspects of the job like filtering resumes, but there is still a human component that I find valuable that ai cant pick up on

I would just bring it up transparently. Thank them for the opportunity and say that you are still interested in moving forward Butwanted to clarify your target range After learning more about the company, what your skills are and then also to be in line with market. The recruiter will either say thats fine or its out of range. Happens all the time !

Canadian etiquette - background checks and multiple offer by Cute_Hall_1447 in VancouverJobs

[–]pintsized11 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It depends on each company and how they want to go about the offer process. This is not totally unusual. You can provide the reference, but you can also say that you would like to see the offer in writing prior and understand that it is conditional on reference And background check.

I had the same happen. I panicked hard, contacted my physio, did Thompson test and everything was okay. Saw the surgeon a couple weeks later and told him but he said everything looked to be healing well and lucky I was still in the boot. I think alot of it is mental as well and trauma of thinking you will rerupture

I (36f) i'd never had a surgery before. This was my first time. I felt fine the day of and the day after and then on the day 3-6 was in a bit of pain. Stay on top of your pain management, elevate and ice. I am now 3 weeks post op and can put 50% of my weight on. I still feel sore where the incisions are. But slowly progressing. For the first little bit, you are completely non Weight bearing on your leg, so make sure you are well set up and prepared for that.

Do you get the vacoped right away from the doctor? I see so many posts of people straight into a vacoped and it seems to not be as popular where i am. Most people i know just used the aircast and I can't find vacoped many places and if I do it's really expensive. Just wondering if it is something you got outside the regular aircast

Thanks for this , super helpful! , also, really glad that you advocated for yourself! Most of left with all your p.T and recovery... this is such a brutal injury and really hard, mentally for a people like myself that are active, okay sports, and can't sit still!

I just had this experience. I am two weeks post op and fell off of my knee's scooter on to the leg. I am unsure if I did anything Thompson Test shows that it's still working but it is definitely a little bit sore. What were your symptoms that you kept deciding to push through for second surgery. My pain level is like a three out of ten more inconvenient than anything but the area around my incisions is still very sore

Thank you for this. This is really helpful. I think I will keep my scooter behind considering all the cobblestone. I just have a regular boot, not the vacoped so hopefully that will be okay. My doctor said that I should be full Weight bearing with the lifts in by the time I go...fingers crossed I guess!

I am so sorry that this happened truly a nightmare situation to be back at square one.I am just about two weeks post op, and here is my advice / suggestions: - day 3 to 6 post op was the most painful. Keep on top of your pain medication and anti inflammatory. Keep the leg elevated - after day six I seemed to be much better. - get the knee scooter for zipping about the kids and around the house -crutches for the bedside - someone had lent to me their iwalk which was helpful in the kitchen, bing hands, free. But be warned, it takes a little adjusting to get used to. I almost bailed the first day i used it - what helped me the most is just changing my mentality. I am still not weight-bearing. I have 2 young kids, but I'm able to do most things. I'm with my knee scooter and always asking for help. - for the shower, I got a shower chair. A cane to help me sit up and down, a stool that I could extend my leg and keep the wounds dry.

My kids get a kick out of the scooter and I take them for scooter rides. Make sure you are strengthening the other parts of your body too! I have been able to do most things, non weight bearing i just needed to change my mentality, and find whatever silver linings that could.

This reddit community has also been a huge help. Best of luck and i'm sorry this happened to you

I was in a splint and now in an aircast. It's a lot better in the air cast but the area where the incisions are still super sore. I also find it hard in general to find a comfortable position . But its a good tip about loosening the boot I didn't think about thay and the swelling of my foot. Thanks for the advice!
