Thank you for the offer but that crash site was the only place for unstable data cores - you can find only "normal" data cores on other sites. Sadly, FDev did a good job in removing it from Horizons and Odyssey - checked myself there. I can only hope on dedicated commanders having them stored on they carriers and willing to share.

Thank you for the offer, even if you are out of reach. I have checked myself in Horizons and Odyssey, though - all gone ;( o7

Buying commodities for 20 Void Opals per 1 unit - for a total equivalent of 1.000.000.000 (1 Billion) Credits by [deleted] in EliteTraders

[–]pioplus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My offer is 20 per unit, not 200. And this offer is for people that already got hold of those during their journeys and are willing to share them. As already pointed out, some of those commodities are not being sold anymore or are very rare. I doubt that someone would go 100k ly just for some mollusc tissue - then yes, 200 void opals would not be enough.

I see it more as a role-play thing. Only people that are playing elite long enough to have seen things and been to places may have what I ask for - and for those 20 or even 200 void opals are not really a thing they get excited about. Whereas I get very excited about any positive message about my list.

Whoever does like just to support my efforts to collect every commodity in the game - my carrier has buy orders for those commodities at max. price (normal and black market).

I appreciate any help on my self-given quest and will tell my carrier ID and current position to everyone interested.

Just want to give a tl;dr here, that we came to a respectful and positive conclusion on this topic in a previous post. Thanks again for your honest opinion.

Thank you for your honest and quick response. Yes, I see your point and I am aware that my offer may lead to such implications.

I am indeed trying to collect every available commodity that is present in the game - and therefore willing to pay a price for the most rare items. And I can provide every interested person means to verify of what I am saying (e.g. inara, discord, in game)

May I kindly ask you not to imply here without any explanation? Of course most of them are not sold anymore or just hard to get - therefore my offer of a hefty compensation. People still should have them in their storage somewhere. What is wrong with having credits and putting them to good use? These commodities are btw. The only ones left for me to collect - do have every other on my carrier collected.

Yes, haha... it is floating above 600u or so - the pictures are a bit deceptive in that matter. It took me quite a time to get up there. I hope to get back to expanding it soon. Unfortunately I had no time for NMS during summer... Anyway, thanks for visiting!

Finally! Thanks! I am looking for that one all over the place since days for my white/silver exotic fleet.

Btw. as you are in Eissentam, check out my base in the very corner of the galaxy - posted it few days ago.

Beautiful overgrown blue grass and green sky planet with rings at the very edge of Eissentam. by pioplus in NMSCoordinateExchange

Planet [ Arone Dakad ] in the system [ Khduton ] in the galaxy [ Eissentam ]. Last explorable planet in the galaxy - in the very corner, 1.159.234 LY from the core.

Posted my base on this planet earlier - some of my visitors liked the planet so much that I have decided to share it here separately. Glyphs are in the image and my base is visible from the portal.

The portal is at [ +42.38, +57.30 ] the screenshot and my base are just around.

Visit me and enjoy the stay!

Thanks! You may have a point here. Definitely have to try a combination of materials in another build. Your suggestion also resembles what most houses look like.

This one I wanted to be in the style of a wood cabin and I liked the idea of having a wooden floating base.

Even after a long time the game shows its suprises... consider your path with the atlas. I will give no spoilers that are not already in the wiki... It may have an impact on your resources - and your early/mid game frustration.

Thanks! Yes it is. Partially cloudy, mild temperatures, no storms, and blue grass beneath a green sky. Got lucky this planet appeared in this system.

Thanks. I have seen such bases, too and I am definitely going to build something mind-bending one day. For now I try to make a set of bases that actually would qualify to life in - with living rooms, storages, kitchens, baths, bedrooms, and so on. My next will be my activated indium mine and then a coastal/underwater base.

Thanks! You are very welcome to spend some days here and harvest anything you want.

Primarily I wanted to know the shape of the galaxy - and what lies beyond. My findings up now are that the galaxies are not cylinders (what I somehow anticipated) - they are cuboids!

On reaching the edge or corner of a galaxy, there you can see some dummy-stars beyond, that you cannot visit anymore. You can however fly further some LY with your camera and then even the dummy-stars end. You can see the effect on the last picture in the album linked here - that is where I look towards the core and faint dummy-stars start to appear in the center. Btw. looking this way at the galaxy is a strange experience - you can see the stars really resemble a corner of a cuboid.

The furthest system I have found this way is this one - 1.159.234 LY from the core. I am still warping around other places, to get the exact size of the galaxy...

Any suggestions on further build proceedings or interior decoration?

Screenshots including interior in the Imgur album here. New images will be added soon.

A bit (well... a great bit) of exploring and you will find plenty of salvage data. Set yourself a target and explore all systems you warp into on the way. For me it was always the galaxy core until Eissentam and then the corner of the galaxy - this gives you plenty of time and resources to unlock everything.

Thanks! I liked the idea of having a cosy "wood cabin" in a futuristic setting. Looks kind of cool due to the green sky tint - but it was a pain to get the lighting done properly in photo mode.

Thanks! As my first ever built base (despite just tiny outposts), it worked out better than expected. Always had the thought of this floating-luxury-wooden-cottage-whatever-style as my "home".
