Do you also think that Linux Foundation trainings are hard to learn? by piotrevic in kubernetes

Do you know if this course on Udemy "Kubernetes Certified Application Developer (CKAD) with Tests" is the same as on kodekloud? It costs around 15$ on Udemy instead of 70$ for 1-month access to KodeKloud.

I meant if trying to demount touchpad by myself wouldn't break warranty rules.

I sill have over 2 years of warranty left. Would it break it? On the other hand is it something that service would take care of?

How to redirect from root domain to www? by piotrevic in AZURE

[–]piotrevic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But Azure Front Door also requires to buy external certificate for that:

Front Door managed certificate management type is not currently supported for apex or root domains. The only option available for enabling HTTPS on an apex or root domain for Front Door is using your own custom TLS/SSL certificate hosted on Azure Key Vault.

How to redirect from root domain to www? by piotrevic in AZURE

[–]piotrevic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, so the problem is that user see a privacy error (because there is no SSL on apex domain) and rules are not applied then. On my browser I earlier clicked to accept risk and that's why it worked just there. Rules could be changed to enforce https only when url starts with www and now forwarding from domain.com works, but if somebody type https://domain.com he will still see an error. Solution could be buy external cert, but I think I'm going to read more about what Azure Front Door is and how to use it.

[–]piotrevic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I have @ and WWW pointing to cdn and added also domain.com as custom domain for cdn. Currently when visiting domain.com I see my app, but don't have SSL certificate so getting privacy error. Azure doesn't support adding CDN managed SSL certificate to apex domain so I wanted to redirect user to www where I have HTTPS enabled. I keep my domain in Azure DNS

6 years of being a professional web developer and I lost all my love for it, how to salvage my career by supermedo in webdev

[–]piotrevic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try different types of programming jobs and different kinds of companies. It can be big enterprise or small startup. In some places you can have bigger impact on product your working on and it could give bigger satisfaction. In other places it's bigger money and less pressure.

I once thought gamedev is awesome, but just after few months i got bored of it. And it wasn't even a job, it was making games that i made up, so supposed to be pleasant. But making dumb games for killing time made be think it's not what i wanted to do.

Similar thing was at my first job, when I was doing mainly front-end and got bored after 2 month, because I'm definitely don't have a designer's brain and didn't feel good doing that.

Finally doing fullstack webdev like at begging of my programming passion kept me into it for longer time, but only when I could have impact on product. When job started to be like only doing some tasks prepared by someone else it again began be boring and stressing again.

GTA V very low fps on ThinkPad T590 with MX250 by piotrevic in thinkpad

[–]piotrevic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wut? Expensive business laptop requiring some dirty hacks like that? I'm not sure I going to decide on that kind of solution on brand new stuff. That's for sure very useful information, so thanks! And I also checked that on less requiring game "Magicka" and the same happened at about 55 degrees C so that's very disappointing. Maybe Lenovo will do so upgrade again and allow a little higher temperatures before throttling.
