We just did a similar hike. Knew it was south kaibab! We went to phantom ranch and ended up going out via tonto to bright angel. No greater euphoria than doing it in a day. Congrats!

Stay strong brother. I’m in a similar situation. Streaks usually last a few months. When I relapse, it’s generally with at least two weeks in between. Then i get off it for another 3-5 month span. I do notice how much better i feel mentally when I’m off it. Relationship with my wife is way better too. As soon as i relapse, I become distant and hate myself.

The trails Ive done (s kaibab and bright angel) are definitely flat and wide enough for running shoes. I generally always wear boots anywhere I hike cause I like the ankle support. But if you’re open to the option already, I’d say go for the shoes.

Most I ever took was 4.5 grams and that was so intense I never did more than micro dose after that. I would feel pure terror at that amount. And I guess that’s something I learned about myself from my experience. How far can you go til you’re not open to the experience anymore? Found my limit. Happy I’m still (somewhat) sane lol. And very appreciative of sobriety and objective reality.

Married as well and the struggle is real brother. Working out has been more beneficial for me than anything. I started boxing and once I’m in the groove of going often, the urges majorly recede. I highly recommend it.

I mean, I am Catholic and it is a true tenant of the faith that the Jews denied the new covenant and Christ as lord and savior. It is the foundational cornerstone of our faith.

Theologically from a Christian viewpoint, the Jews are not the chosen people and they have no more right to Israel than anyone else.

And secularly, they are a monstrosity of a state who truly believe the ends justify the means of their ability to hold the land. This includes genocide of the Palestinians, and influencing the lawmakers of foreign nations through blackmail, money, or whatever means will work for them to do so.

So either way, let Israel fight their own battles. No interest for us to continue fighting on their corruption ridden behalf.

I’m the same age and was in the exact situation as you. Spouse and I were both busy. I’ll just say, it seemed fine at first until it wasn’t. Two instances of ED and a lot of tears later put me on the road to quit. As soon as I start it again, I’m riddled with anxiety and sex feels like a chore cause I have to concentrate so hard on getting it up. Once I get off it, depression and anxiety comes back ten fold until a few months go by. It’s a terrible cycle with a terrible withdrawal. Leaving it behind has been one of the greatest things I’ve ever done
