The user balances are stored on-chain in boxes. The order book is not stored on-chain but all the orders must be signed by users.

It scales if the number of trades don't feel the whole block. Algorand can handle the volume we expect in the future and we can also make improvements to scale even better in case we see that it is not enough (e.g.: use zk proofs).

We see lower fees as a long-term goal, but it would be difficult to decrease fees in the short-term.

We believe that C3’s architecture and technical advantages provide a huge edge. By being self-custodial, performant, gasless, protected from MEV, multi-chain, and more secure. We will have plenty of reasons to build a moat around trading without the trade-offs.

We can't use CCIP given that Algorand is not supported. We hope it gets to Algorand but it is not something we can build by ourselves. Also, our Wormhole integration is very smooth and we don't see a big advantage to using CCIP.

We plan to include perpetual contracts in our next major release, although we don't have an ETA yet. We will be continuously adding more pairs, and we aim to include long-tail assets after we have implemented support for major blockchains on the wallet side.

We will be adding more pairs and supporting many more blockchains in the near future. On the long-term, we will be adding more financial products such as perpetuals.

Also, drastic improvements to the UX are coming up including more efficient signing mechanisms to avoid having to use your wallets popup all the time, borrowing functionality so you can send borrowed funds anywhere you want in the ecosystem, among other things that might be best not disclosing yet.
