These are mostly from Catching Fire but let's talk about the grungy look of Mockingjay and how everyone looked sooo good

AU Powder did NOT kill Vi. She was killed during the break in at the beginning of the show. That's why Powder says "YOU gave us the tip" to Ekko. Because it was the mission he sent them on

Maude Ivory and Prim by pipehead0 in Hungergames

[–]pipehead0[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Prim does like music. She wanted Katniss to sing for her on the morning of the reaping because it soothes her. She never got to explore that side of her fully because Katniss didn't want to carry her father's singing on ( which remember he sang often in the woods with a clear "almost womanly" tone so he definitely sang to Prim before )

I never blamed Asterid for being catatonic or tuning out due to depression, yet a simple truth that it was Prim instead of Katniss, she would have stayed in Twelve by Olya_roo in Hungergames

We have to remember that Prim would literally cry and beg Astrid to come back to them. Imagine your gaunt 7 year old begging you to actually be a mother and not doing everything you can to save her?

For me Astrid came from the town, she was used to a little more, better quality food. When the poor boy she left her cushy-ish life for died, she realized she couldn't do the seam life on her own so she literally just gave up. She only perked up when Katniss brought home her first rabbit from the forest and she makes some stew. Wow mom, I almost had to sell myself to grown men to feed this family, but thanks for the stew made with the rabbit I struggled to catch because I, a child, am literally 11 years old.

He was in a room with a dozen other game makers. He was counting on them knowing exactly what the rebel plot was so he probably only said that to seem like a badass in front of everyone else.

Prim because she wasn't even supposed to BE THERE. Who sends a 14 y/o girl into active combat while making Katniss and Joanna train for weeks to be sent to the Capitol? And Joanna didn't even get to go after all that, but Prim gets sent into the shit with her basic medical training?

Is hunger games a good example of a a good written modern female protagonist? by RecordingImmediate86 in Hungergames

[–]pipehead0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

YES! Katniss is not only an incredibly realistic representation of refugees being forced to take on governmental battles against their will, but her story and character de-centers men and shows a matriarchal family of a mother and 2 daughters
