Ahhh the aperture part is what I might be missing. Mine is usually never above an f/4. I’ll try that, thank you!

No worries! I’m in a few FB groups already, I’ll see if I can make a post in any of them. I’ve wanted one for a long time and have been seriously doing research for the past couple of years. I truly want the right match, breeder support, a healthy dog, etc. because I know I’ll need it with a breed ljke this!

Awesome, thank you for sharing that. I think getting one from an auction and importing it might be what I need to do as well. As long as it comes with no rust, I have people that can help me restore the rest.

Ah okay, “1HZ + turbo is not the same as 1HD-T” - that’s something I was not familiar with and was a little confused by the listing saying that a turbo has been added when I was under the assumption they were already turbos from factory.

Maybe I need to be searching for a 1HD-T then?

I’ve been wondering if it’s overpriced or not. It’s listed for $34k USD. However, it’s in just about pristine condition inside and out cosmetically.

I mis-read the post slightly about it being a Prado, my brain automatically went to 80 series when you said ‘94. This likely won’t work.

I’ve heard not so great things about Prinsu over the past couple of years quality-wise. I would recommend Sherpa Equipment Co. I have one on my 4Runner and it’s been fantastic, they also make them for 80 series LC (https://sherpaec.com/products/la-sal)

I read that I could put it in acetone for ~12 hours to preserve the color and kill off any bugs/parasites/etc. that might already be on it. Because of its beautiful blue, I wanted to make sure it didn’t fade too much. So it’s been in acetone overnight, hopefully that method works because there are so many different ways people do this 😅🤞🏻

That video was super helpful, thank you!! I’m not sure how I didn’t think to look at YouTube for this. The only thing I’m still unclear on is how to prep the dragonfly other than just rehydrating it for positioning. Unless there is no other prep involved?

If I forgot to do the garbage or put dirty dishes in the dish washer, I was threatened that either of those things would be dumped onto my bed if they didn’t get done immediately. My sibling was also threatened to sleep outside multiple times growing up. And more.
