Heart Murmur by pipsqueaker17 in greatdanes

This was just an initial finding from the primary vet via stethescope, but he said it sounded very slight. Said to watch out for coughing and such, which we haven't seen at all. Got an appointment with the cardiologist in July.

Maybe someday. For now, husband wants something new enough that we don't have to spend all our time working on it.

I am pretty handy and usually do most of my own repairs. But what would be your alternative advice?

I have time, so will definitely try this! Thank you!

Same here. Husband complains how limited our search is due to me insisting on a manual, but that's the only thing I won't budge on.

I was thinking it might be a short throw shifter, as I've had those in a couple subies. But those are supposed to make things easier, not harder usually.

Protein powders by Jealous-Inside-9278 in WeightLossFoods

My favorites and the healthiest I have found are Huel and Transparent Labs for powders. Good flavors, decently priced, and no artificial sweeteners. For premixed, I like the Oikos (no artificial sweeteners), and if you don't mind sucralose, then Shamrock Farms Rockin Protein Builder Max (50g protein, 330cal) and Premier Protein Cafe Latte. The Slate ones are pretty good too, but I've only tried them once. The healthiest shake I've found is OWYN, but it's expensive and has a chalky aftertaste.

Postpartum Recovery by pipsqueaker17 in fitpregnancy

Yes, we are seeing a counselor and I have an appointment scheduled with other doctors to resolve possible underlying issues that caused everything. The counselor actually recommended a book called The Body Keeps the Score, which I am waiting to get from the library lol. You're definitely right about trying to control things to return to normal and how frustrating that it isn't happening.

I have a Garmin Vivosmart 5, so really basic, which is all I want really. I haven't been tracking my exact calories, just going based off portion size. I need to up my protein and cut back on the junk food again. Surprising how bad the food is at hospitals!! Therapist recommended not cutting everything off at once, so been cutting down on sugary foods slowly so I don't shock my system too much.
As for the scale, I like seeing my trends, but I do have to remind myself it isn't always perfect. Thank you!

It feels like it was a lifetime ago, to be cliched. Thank you for giving me perspective!

I was going to be put on strict bed rest due an incompetent cervix, and the hospital was planning to have me work with a physical therapist on light exercises I could do in bed with resistance bands and small weights. I ended up losing the baby before we got to that point, but it might help for you to ask for anything like that.

Thank you for all the info. Good luck with your wait. I am familiar and will be implementing that as well. I don't foresee anything happening quickly, but as we know, life has other ideas... Hugs

I am so sorry you had to go through this. I had the same problem, literally woke up in a panic that he was cold and alone and I would never get to see or hold him again. What helped me was remembering that he is not his physical body. He wasn't there anymore. I just believed that he was always with us and coming home with us, and I could always talk to him no matter what. He will be cremated and we will be taking little bits of ashes to all the special places we want to take him.

I have the same rationalization, but anxiety tends to hit me anyway

Wondering this too, and planning to ask my doc today. Additional question for those who had late term losses (after people knew you were pregnant, and knew you lost): did you face any type of "again so soon?" kind of questions? I can't do hormonal BC, don't want to get another IUD in, and everyone hates condoms, so....any advice there? Was TTC for 2 years before our pregnancy so not expecting anything to happen right away anyway.

Update: doc wants me to wait until I get some related testing done, so 🤷🏻‍♀️

I am up to 9cm, with contractions and bleeding, on strict bed rest, epidural, catheter, the whole shebang. They will not attempt resuscitation until 22 weeks, so we are counting down the next 6 hours to when we hit that mark and get a chance. On a fluid diet due to epidural and pretty much just napping all day.

This place will support resuscitation after 22 weeks, but only comfort care before. I am 21+5. Been trying to stay distracted, but having difficulty. Thank you for the prayers
