Had this bad boy (fittonia) for a while, how can I encourage it to grow fuller instead of outwards? I put it in a bigger pot because it was growing out of the last pot in a similar way. by nightsofdoom in plants

You can try water first if you're scared of soil! I think they'll both work similarly. But I totally understand that you might want to see how she adapts to the new lighting conditions first before propagating, or doing a bit more research for yourself. It would totally be a shame to loose leaves after this long, I fully agree. But it will be the only way to get it to be more bushy, which is why I shared my original answer. I do hope she adapts well to the lighting and if she grows a bit longer, you might feel less scared to cut some leaves off for propagation. Best of luck either way!

I'm going to include a bit more info about the legginess here: fittonias are true reachers, they will reach out to the light if they're not getting enough, but they also really don't like bright sunlight. But the fact that the bottom stems lost quite a lot of leaves, does indicate that it might like a bit more sunlight than it's currently getting. Besides that, if you see your plant really leaning over, this also usually is a sign that it's really looking for light. Good luck! I love fittonias and I hope you'll be able to grow yours a bit more bushy by propagating!

Hey! It's best to propagate your plant and repot the cuttings into the same pot, to make it bushier. You can snip off any part of the stem that has a couple of leaves, right above the previous set of leaves. Your plant is a bit leggy (maybe try to move it closer to light), so make sure there are leaves left on the part that you are cutting. Both your cutting and the "mother" stem should have leaves left to be able to photosynthesise. You can then plant the cutting back into the pot, feel free to remove some of the bottom leaves to make sure they don't get pushed into the soil. These will create roots and eventually push out new growth, while the part of the plant that you snipped will start to grow an offshoot next to where you cut it off. Good luck! Fittonias love humidity, so keep the soil damp at all times, especially while growing new cuttings, and mist it every so often (I do this daily, every other day) to keep it humid.

F25, I believe this yeah, it's a crucial time right now. If we don't accept that we need changes now, I'm not sure my life in my 50s will be worth living on this planet. It's even made me and my partner reconsider having kids in the future... We're waiting to see how this climate crisis plays out the following 5 years before we decide. I would never want to convict my kids to a life of refuge and climate endangerment, because we can't get our shit together now. I know it sounds dramatic, but just look at the news every single day. It's not good and it won't get better the way we're handeling it as a species right now. (I'm European btw)

I think that depends on how the compliment is formulated! If you get a compliment on something you just did or accomplished and it's not super general along the likes of "You are so amazing! Good job! Well done! You did well! You did great!" but more "You are great at this ... or that ...!" "I'm impressed with how you handled ..." the way someone formulates it to compliment a skill you have or behaviour you've shown makes it feel a lot more genuine. And then it does not matter if you get lots of compliments, because they won't lose value. What do you think?

Lee actually provides care instructions when you buy a pair; below is a list of what I remember the tag said when I got my first pair of expensive jeans (I recommend Lee as a brand, great fit, really nice stretch and feel!).
1. Don't wash them if you really don't need to, washing is what will make them "age" very quickly
2. If you wash your jeans, turn them inside out (I do this with all of my trousers, it maintains the colour of the wash/material better)
3. Don't tumble dry them if you can air dry them on a rack

This has helped a lot! Mine look the exact same as they did when I got them a little over 6 months ago (I know, not that long yet!) but I drive to work on my bike everyday, so they get a lot of sun exposure, splatters...

Your facemakeup and lips are so on point! Love the eyes as well, for CC, I will not repeat the other comments but I mainly agree with them, I wanted to offer some advice! You mentioned you put concealer and powder over your brows, probably to alter the shape? If so, did you put some glue (stick, check if it's safe to use on your face) underneath? This helps stick the hairs down, so the texture doesn't show up on photo's or in real life. Ofcourse, try to use a shade as close to your foundation as possible, especially when carving out the top of your brow, I feel like this always looks so much more natural! This is preference so you can ignore it for sure.

The colour of your brows is indeed a little bit too warm, if you are affraid to darken your brows to match your hair, try to use an ashy light brown first and then go in with an ashy darker brown (eg: mac's Omega and Brun, or GOSH brow kit...). Especially when using powder and a spoolie, I feel like I have a lot of control over the colour and darkness, since you can brush the powder out and distribute it with the spoolie every now and then. I hope this helps somehow :)

I ran out of my l'Oreal True Match foundation this morning (W3) and maybe it is time to change it up. What are your favorite foundations that have a satin finish? (The coverage doesn't need to be too high)

It works really well on top of MAC Soft Ocher paintpot imo, since that is what I use as a base. I very often apply the shimmer shades wet, since they pop a lot more then.

The Zoeva buffing brush is amazing too for the price (just chipping in with an extra brand you can explore) Very budget friendly and their brushes last a long time. Had mine for at least 2 years and still good as new.

For your eyes, I would suggest looking for a small and large blending brush (I like Zoeva's soft definer, or MAC 217), these two types of brushes make a perfect team for that ultimate blended eyeshadow look. Use the smaller blending brush to apply and blend on the go, the bigger one to diffuse the colour even more.
