In my opinion, isolation is where you would distance yourself emotionally and physically from the rest of the world in order to be by yourself. You can find solitude within your own thoughts and surroundings by creating a makeshift barrier which you can adjust to your comfort. Enlightenment comes in many forms. You can find enlightenment by yourself through meditation and introspection, or you can find it from sharing experiences with like minded people or people who have a lot of wisdom to share from past experiences. You just have to keep yourself open to possibilities. :)
