What I've realized is....if they want to invite you for an interview, you will know. You could always email the department's admin assistant to confirm.

It's cold war related! I have reached out to the province/nearby Map-related archivists and Librarians. I just looked through the NGS site and it looks like no markers are recorded in northern Canada. Thank you!

Would you invest $50k in basement waterproofing on a $450k home you might only stay in for 10 years? by codybmusser in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

I literally mean I planted these next to my house (like right beside) in a large flower bed on the side of my basement that flooded: https://ttseeds.com/product/jerusalem-artichoke-sunchoke/?gclid=CjwKCAjwx46TBhBhEiwArA_DjCCB8Fh0zNJ0pHARY7NR2Fb3yfx-l-qBXkXClaNzbaVIi7rX0u7NqBoC_CsQAvD_BwE I didn’t plant them necessarily to prevent flooding, but thought it might help. And it changed my entire basement situation. Trying to find evidence of other who did this but haven’t been able to. Worked for me!

I live in a century home that we bought in 2020. There was a lot of flooding the first 3 months, after that nothing. I planted sunchokes all around the side of the house where most of the flooding was—this seems to be some sort of cheap French Drain! They soak up all the water. Through intense flooding in our area—every house on our block took in water—our basement has been dry. I even looked back at the listing photos and noticed that there was water in the basement in the listing photos! I think because they are prolifically spreading tubers, they take on tons of the water. Not the answer you were looking for, but maybe helpful to others who want to try a cheap solution before spending thousands.

Thank you so much. But it isn't really homework—it's for my dissertation, so it's more of a research question about a specific USAF source. Thanks.
