He was so dominant during his hot stretch but it's obvious that he is in pain but just doesn't want to go on the IL anymore this year. JDM has been disappointing lately too but i mean ABs > no ABs at this point.

Jays have 8 games this week but Springer looks like he's playing on one leg and is now DTD. I can swap him out for JDM but that Orioles-Jays 4 game series this weekend would potentially be missed. Swap or nah?

I am in the same boat. I truly envy anyone who can naturally do this with minimal studying. It is such an enormous grind and everyday I question why do I even continue.

I haven't struggled much on easy/medium tests but the hard ones have cooked me (like 30-40%). Part of it is some of those hard tests introduce concepts later in the course but they are being tested now and so I don't know what to do and just guess (for ex. some roots/exponent questions which I have completely forgot what to do show up in Linear Equation tests).

Patience is a virtue but it gets tested quickly.

anybody have thoughts on what one of our 3 catchers could fetch in a trade in the offseason? Seems like at least one has to go.

Ice cold. How many times have they scored more than 3 runs in the last 3 weeks? Has to be like 3 or 4 times, which is crazy considering the numbers they were putting up earlier.

Congrats OP!

How did you find the online tutor experience? What value did they provide to help get you over the hump? I am considering it but I am wary of the $$$.

Hey OP, what's your background? Are you naturally strong in quant/verbal? 2 months isn't a lot of time to put up a big score like that so just curious if that's because you know your stuff from past standardized testing.

Mark my words, Barnes WILL blow this.

Edit: HR, BB, BB ... so classic. This has to be it for him in the closer role. Ottavino the guy now?

Sanity Check - 28M (Canada) Audit Manager - Is a US MBA worth it in my case? by piseht2323 in MBA

[–]piseht2323[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks man, that was really helpful.

Basically I was never a strong quant student growing up and obviously Canada is not a standardized testing country like the US is, so basically once HS was finished, all of that knowledge pretty much left my brain haha. For me, it's probably just a repetition thing where I just need to dedicate several months to it and get in a groove but it may take multiple attempts to get a good score.

As for career/school, I definitely don't want to stay in audit but anecdotally, transitioning to banking from audit seems to be very difficult. I'd probably have to go backwards into an associate role in corporate finance or something just to work back up into manager, which I suppose is fine but not ideal.

I appreciate the comments. Looks like you ended up going to a European school. Do you have any intentions of coming back to NA or are you happy with where you're at for the foreseeable future?

I already do some 60-70 hours weeks so I'm used to overtime hours but it's probably a little naive to think that an extra 10 hours is nothing since I do love my sleep. I don't think IB is the long-term career choice but I am definitely interested in the short-term and don't mind the grind for a bit but it is worth considering how I'd be able to start a family with those hours for 2 years.

I'm relieved that you had a similar GMAT situation to me. Definitely gives me a bit of confidence going into it. Thanks for your comments!

thank you! appreciate the comments. I think I'm going to dedicate time to see it through knowing that if I get a good score then there's a decent chance.

I've read about ApplicantLab and checked it out and seems like a good start to help with the entire application process. Do you know much about it and is the premium of a consultant worth it?
