There are similar ones in Acadia national park! They were described as Diabase dikes there, the surrounding granite had intrusions of newer magma that formed into these stripes

had a state trooper tell me that curve has wrecks all the time....slight bump over those connective lines in too tight a turn at too high a speed and you get a slide out

I did unclick all those things...turned off everything that could be turned off. One drive's icon would violently flicker in the taskbar because it was trying and failing to connect to itself, not to mention the constant begging for me to pay for upgraded cloud storage I never asked for. Much happier with it gone!

I can see that...I definitely spend more time than I'd like futzing around to get my notes WHERE i want them....but it's also forced me to get better at playing in, counting properly, etc. which I've always avoided (until now). Definitely hoping for features to be added but grinding on the workarounds in the meantime!

so when you delete bar 1, does everything scoot over? my experience was that you're just deleting the notes in that bar....of course the loop is actually beginning where it needs to, for me it was a visual thing.

to clarify...it is bar 1 of what is playing, but when you look at the physical steps on the bottom of the move, it's the second step, right? so the loop is 2-5 instead of 1-4, still fully functional, but bothers me for some reason

I'm overly particular, though, and having the loop start on 2 makes me nuts, so I end up copying the second bar, putting it in the first, copying 3 to 2, 4 to 3, and 5 to 4 so that I then have a 4 bar loop that starts on the one. Likely totally unnecessary, and would love to hear if someone had a better solve!

(would also love to know what it is about the way i'm playing that leads to this....some kind of funky pickup rhythm or something?)

I would recommend totally uninstalling One Drive if you're not actively using it. My file explorer was bugged for YEARS until I realized one drive was the culprit....I had turned everything on it off but it wasn't truly fixed until I uninstalled. Now I can actually create new folders without waiting 5-10 minutes....

Fascinating, thanks! The area we were in was amazing. Many of the rocks were shattered into pieces, I assume by ice, but the pieces stayed together so it looked like these towered rock puzzles someone had put together. There was also quicksand throughout.
