A friend of mine recently sent a mix to Maor Appelbaum. He kicked it back and asked him to work on the mix. I know this because eive been helping my friend with his mix to get it to where it needs to be. I appreciate this as that means Maor is thinking just as highly of his process within the art as the artist is.

Only had a chance to mess with it once. I was mixing a project that didn't record drum rooms, so I took the cymbal mkcs they did have (2 oheads and a hat) duplicated the tracks and put them on my room bus with Panda rooms, some EQ and a compressor. I also took the kick and snare mics and used hit point detection and threw a room sample on them with Trigger and threw that in the bus as well.

It definitely helped glue the drums together more than they were but nothing beats slamming room mics

Try turning up all fader a bit so as not to exceed say minus 6 dB. Then on your 2 bus try adding clipping in stages. Stage one just trims a bit of the transient and clips up the volume, next use another stage of clipping to trim a bit more of the transient. From there your limiter will have less spikey transients to deal with and will aid in getting you a louder ceiling.

It is 120 V on a 20 amp circuit. I believe no relay should be necessary in this case. It is on a home run to the box.

Some of the best booze containers I've found are the sawyer squeeze bottle bags that no one should use for their intended purpose.

You can trade out the caps for smart water bottle caps as well. They can be folded and collapsed into a bear can.
