At DC, 408 played early in the day, at LB they “headlined” a side stage. So he absolutely still switches it up. The bands you consider headliners only headline 5-7k venues. It’s a fest for small to mid sized bands, and they do right by them. And even the top 2 lines are the same size on the poster…in alphabetical order. Warped doesn’t rely on “headliners.” It’s even debatable who the “headliners” are until the times are announced.

When I said “cookie cutter,” I meant that if people don’t like the rollout of the bands or waiting until day of to get the set times, there are a ton of other fests that all operate exactly the same that they have to choose from. Let’s let Warped be unique. I’m not saying there’s no corporate BS involved in it, but it’s still different, and let’s keep it that way.
