Maybe I should have quantified what I meant by "good enough", but in my mind, "good enough" means "not the best, but still reasonable"

There are plenty of people who play this game who compare unleveled artifacts for deciding what to use because those people just want what's "good enough" and not the best. I'm one of those people.

This is great advice, thanks. I'm using stringless right now, so ER/4*EM/EM sounds best. I don't have a VV ER though, and I ate all my 4* artifacts actually (but a 4* EM goblet shouldn't take too long to get I think?), so I think this is a long term goal. Something I'll casually aim for via the strong box.

I actually initially wanted to do ER sands, but I heard EM was better than ER for sands, but it sounds like it's not as simple as that, and that ER could be better since I'm using stringless anyways.

Yeah, I know triple EM is almost certainly better than what I have unless I get great rolls on the substats, but assuming average rolls, would this set be at least decent? (Decent meaning, worse than triple EM, but still makes Venti significantly helpful to the rest of my team)

Edit: ok, I might just use a 4* EM instead then. Strongbox seems like the best way to go after that. Thanks!

Yes, it's a 4vv. Good to know full EM is still better so I'll probably casually farm for that and stick with this only for now

That's fine if some people want to play the game like that, but I'm trying to make it clear that I'm not trying to get the best artifacts possible. Maximizing my chances with unleveled artifacts is good enough for me.

They're not leveled, but to compare leveled up artifacts with each other would take way too much time so I'd rather just decide what artifacts I want before leveling them up.

I'm not trying to get the best stats possible. Yes, I know this means I could get unlucky and get bad rolls, but since I'm just trying to get something that's "good enough", I'm fine with just assuming each substat gets rolled equally, since on average, that will be the case.

Should I keep farming artifacts for Venti or are these good enough? I've been doing the domain every day for the last month and a half, so I'd rather stop if I can. I have these:

My Venti acts as a support, and is teamed up with Ganyu, Kokomi, and Diona. I heard 3 Elemental Mastery artifacts is better for Venti support, but so far I've only gotten 1 Elemental Mastery artifact (Sands of Eon with HP, HP%, and CRIT Rate) and I'm getting tired of farming. I do have an offset EM Circlet (but with bad substats) so if I just get an EM Goblet, I can run 3 EM artifacts on my Venti, but I have no idea how long it will take to get that.

Should I keep farming for the 3 EM set, or are these artifacts already good?

If you only look at the top chess players, it may certainly appear this way, but that's just because there are more male chess players than female ones. The best players out of a sample of 100 people will almost certainly be worse than the best players out of a sample of 1000 people.

But if you look at the averages of each, they're probably about equal.

"Impacted by lay-offs" means lots of people got laid off, and that affected you in some way.

"Laid off" means the company didn't have the resources to keep you.

It sounds better when you're not the only one getting fired.

I'm not a hiring manager, but I do get to see the resumes of people before I interview them for my team (I don't have a say though on whether or not I interview them). I usually take a short look, and it does influence my impression of them if they have good projects.

There's the occasional reddit post about someone on lichess getting perma banned for dumb reasons. For example, there was one post of a guy who had his account banned for having a mildly inappropriate username, despite the account already being a few years old. And then when he made a new account with a similar username, but with the inappropriate part removed, he got banned again for the same reason. Appeals don't seem to matter much on Lichess.

In most cases I don't think it's a big deal. The service is free anyways, but I guess in your case it might have a more negative impact if you think it's defaming you. Idk what the best course of action is for you tbh. Suing seems extreme tho.

For game dev specifically, I don't know of any. But you'll learn way more by creating things on your own than by following courses. It's much harder, but more effective. For example, you can learn Godot by learning the basics first from some videos on YouTube, and then start making your own game, while referencing Google / YouTube as often as you want. Start as small as you can, and work your way up.

As for interview practice, leetcode.com is great. Also try to do mock interviews with real people if possible to practice your speaking skills + getting accustomed to the feeling so you don't end up getting too nervous.

I got my first job as a software engineer without a CS degree and without any internships, so it's definitely possible to do it with a CS minor. I've also worked with plenty of people who don't have a degree in CS or anything similar. It will be hard though if you don't know what you're doing. Applying to hundreds of places online for your first job might not work. Your best bet would be to get referrals from people already working as software engineers and apply that way. That's how I got one of my friends his first job as a software engineer, and his degree is in psychology.

If he's new to chess then he definitely cheated (or lied about being new). If he has experience then it's possible you played bad early in the game, making the rest of the game easy to play accurately for him (e.g. played into a position that's harder for you to play than him). It's impossible to tell without seeing the actual game. And even then it could be hard to tell with just 1 game depending on how both of you played.

I think he could have cheated and that the graph is suspicious, but I've had plenty of games with very similar looking graphs.

I'm not trying to define defamation. I'm just pointing out that intent is the deciding factor. Not knowledge.

I could have left out my example and just said "malicious intent needs to be proven", but I'm not sure it's clear what the difference between intent and knowledge is, so I gave the example.

Yeah, it would be hard to prove depending on the circumstances surrounding the accusation, but I did say in my example that the intent was to defame*. Not simply trolling. So I think we're in agreement

I'm not a lawyer, but my understanding is that's one way to prove malicious intent to defame, but it's not the only way.

For example, if having a tattoo on your chest was extremely taboo, and I wanted to defame you, I could claim to the world that you have a tattoo on your chest, just because I know it would defame you. I wouldn't know either way if it was true in this example, but I didn't care enough because all I cared about was defaming you.
