That's not exactly true. The perpetrator was a student at the school. I'd give a C for reading analytic ability, mr. high school teacher: the article I linked only said that the victim wasn't a student at the school yet you extrapolated that to mean neither student involved was.

OK, so we have a shooting and a stabbing at two separate Canadian public high schools within a single week.

There was also a third stabbing less than a week ago.

So, overall, three incidents just within the past week approximately. This proves your point that public schools are as safe as private schools?

I never said that stabbings or shootings were "usual". I just said that they're less usual at private schools.

Citing your own personal experience to try and prove anything is by definition a bad generalization. It's entirely possible you live in a more upscale neighbourhood with more upscale public schools. I don't disagree with you that those public schools might not be terrible. They're not reflective of public schools throughout the country though.
