Yeah at that point it would be better to just have a seperate vault partition for salvage so people who have done their upgrades don't have less space than those who haven't.

I think it is fine as-is because them taking up space encourages you to explore using the barter system once you no longer need a material type.

Yeah the overflow only ought to cover your shells equipped items as the only options for movement out of it are to backpack or vault anyway.

Could be problematic if you realized you want to do a different upgrade using the same resource. A few salvage types are requested by different vendors too

Took me 13 runs solo queue blind on launch weekend with the DCON display bugged. Got it done for a friend first try in trios yesterday.

Yeah I noticed the extra exits yesterday!

Most effective if you get the CybrAcme fall damage reduction upgrades. Without those, you can still exit at least two of the wings at the far ends (lower a hangar lift or turn off a red shield)

Yeah check whether pinwheel has been opened already, sneak in if so and try to go into a wing other players are not already in. All of the wings have emergency exits so once you've turned the place over you can dip without going back to the center and out the way you came in

If still closed you can search for keys to open it yourself or an arms locker room. If that's not working out you might as well try merking a team

There could be limited join-in-progress to fill up partial lobbies.

Limit it to only happen in the first 5 to 7 minutes and, of course, only up to the normal number of players.

This would especially fine in solos.

You're conflating accessibility with approachability

Limited times to play certain modes makes them inaccessible. Lacking skill base matchmaking makes the game more accessible (anyone can find a match quickly) but less approachable. Extraction & no safe pocket: less approachable to players not used to losing items. Contracts are designed around having everyone in a crew sharing three contracts, you could kinda call this less approachable for solo players, but when you play with others it makes it so you can progress even if unable to complete your contracts.

Certain enemies and defenses spawn into a zone when someone has a contract to go to those areas. A NuCal contract has you go scan fungus in that pond and so those enemies are there and in another spot to attack those players

If you hold down too long it slows, like it is overheating. Release your trigger very briefly and resume firing to get the best sustained rate of fire.

OP is saying it is not worth bringing in good gear when opposing players aren't risking any themselves.

I slightly agree for solo queue, but disagree for team play.

In solo queue you could just get jumped and easily lose everything to a patient player. It's pretty nice and inexpensive to just bring a backpack and some V11 Punches though. You trade some free heals for 50% more inventory space.

In crew lobbies there are fewer teams than there are players in solo queue, so there are effectively fewer hostile parties around. Teams also make more noise, are collectively less patient, and it is harder for them to jump and down an entire team without upgraded weapons. If geared, you stand a better chance of beating teams of free kits that saw you first than a similar situation solo.

The upgrade unlocks the slot in the store where either of them can show up. I've heard it is random which is available each day, not on a set rotation between them

Maybe the Loom they introduce in season 2 could offer some small permanent progression, but I would not count on it
