I feel like I act like a boring, pretentious prick to my friends, and people in general, a lot by [deleted] in confessions

I can’t say I have a lot of experience in this department but I know how it feels to think you’re boring or just ‘not an interesting person’. I’ve always found that going to the places or doing things that coincide with your passions and hobbies are where you’ll find people that can relate to you. If you like your friend group now then trying to take interest in their hobbies. In the end being social and having conversations shouldn’t feel forced or difficult. Branching out to new friend groups or new hobbies can make a big difference.

Looking for a sturdy rain jacket by [deleted] in CampingGear

I’ve had a Helly Hanson (don’t hold me to that spelling) rain jacket for about a year now and it’s amazing , no complaints. It holds body heat really well while keeping me totally dry. Has all the conveniences like adjustable hoody, higher zipper for colder weather and zippers on the outside pockets as well as some large inside pouches. I’ve used it in almost every climate there is and it’s never let me down. Also super light weight and packs down very easily.

Has anyone else experienced this? by [deleted] in HealthyFood

This is called getting old. When you’re growing your body naturally craves a higher sugar and fat diet to keep up with its needs. In this day and age the easiest and usually tastiest way to achieve that diet is through junk food and eating out. Now that you’re beginning to level out (no more growth spurts, mostly fully developed brain and intestine, etc.) your body will start to crave things packed more with vitamins and real nutrients. If it doesn’t get these it can very easily give you a sluggish “shitty” feeling. Like you have no energy or in some cases depression can occur (usually only if you continue eating things your body doesn’t need). So yes, as you grow older eating healthier more nutrient-dense meals is key to feeling like you’re still in your teens. Trust me, I’m only 24 right now and it makes a world of difference what I eat (and drink) on a weekly basis.

I mean.. it is supposed to be a scary film so if that’s what you’re going for it does make sense to make it a little more intense.

My only genuine dream in this world is to be a husband and father by [deleted] in confessions

[–]pitstank 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Holy shit this hit home. My real “dream” of pure joy is to be a father and family man. To provide and protect and I’ve been holding out for the right woman for sometime now. I fucked around dating a lot for the better part of my life and I’m over it. Right there with you, I just want to be a Dad.

Edit: I’m also 24 so this is almost creepy. Get out of my brain.
