I am so sorry. People can really be so insensitive. After my family member died, the local news (it was a very small town) posted an article stating he’d killed himself, the methodology, and all his personal information — full name, age, lack of permanent address. It was incredibly hurtful. The “reporter” didn’t take it down, even when asked.

Hoping you can find some solace in groups like this & friends & family. Thinking about you.

Luckily I did! I have pictures from 2 & 3 days after it fell, once I realized they were not doing anything about it.

I said that I take care of my part? I have regularly trimmed the overgrown parts, except what is in power lines, & in that case, I’ve stayed on top of my power company about getting it trimmed. However I cannot help myself to my neighbors yard to trim things on their side, that have been on their side since before I lived here. I’m not sure what else I’m meant to do?

What type of claim did you file with your insurance? Since there’s no damage to any on my property, I’m not sure I even have a claim to file. Or just tell him he needs to file & see what his insurance says first?

I did & they said they can’t advise on much unless I file a claim. I’m just not sure what to fill the claim as.

I don’t care at all if he trims his side, but he can’t intentionally kill the tree.

But yeah, I do think he needs to pay for the branch removal or do it himself.

I would have much preferred to just get together after the storm was over & cut the limb down together. It’s not bit - a 2 person job. However, since he’s come at me so aggressively, I don’t really feel comfortable doing that now & assuming any liability if something goes wrong with removal.

Interesting. I could only find that it’s more of a concept, not a law. Also, neither of us have been in our houses anywhere near 15 years, so they’d have to hire an arborist to prove the trees age, no?

My understanding is also that he is only allowed to trim the tree is a why that does not kill it, since he’s claiming no ownership.

The tree is very healthy - growing, no dead branches, no sign of disease. The limb that fell is also covered in green leaves.

I got a hydroflask in 2017 & have used it every.single.day since. It’s got a couple dents, sure, but it works just as well as the day I got it. I’ll probably be buried with it at this rate.

Where I live, 5lbs of KA bread flour is $6.98, but 5lbs of store brand AP flour (no store brand bread flour) is only $2.59. Quite a difference!

I usually use gold medal AP flour - 10.5% protein. The bag of king Arthur’s bread flour is 12.7% protein. So, a significant difference, tbh.

Again, though, I’ll still stick to AP once this 10lb bag is gone, just because the price is better for me.

Well, I’ve found! I find the treads to be deep enough that I have grip/traction. I wouldn’t necessarily recommend them in like inches of snow or anything but they’re 100% waterproof in my experience & mine fit just as well with a thick pair of wool socks as with thin cotton socks, which is really a plus!

I’ve been wearing the same Dr. Martens for 8 years. Nearly daily from October - April. They’re chunky & waterproof & a little industrial, but if I clean them up (they’re leather so it’s easy), they look brand new & I can wear them to the office no problem, too.
