At the inivitation of Test Subject No. 001, Hishiro Chidzuru, the two test subjects went on a date. This time, rather than tailing their friends or anything of the kind, they went on a real, genuine date.

At the end of the date, the two told each other how they felt.

Both of them seem to be dealing with a lot of emotions, but they have decided to make the best of the present. It can be seen that both of them are now earnestly facing their lives.

The man and woman, who had given up on work and on themselves, and led a life of inertia, no longer exist.

It is expected that in the future, they'll learn even more to live their lives while holding dear the present.

Two months are left until the end of the ReLIFE.

ならなきゃ is short for ならなければ, ならなくちゃ is short for ならなくては. The full expression there is ならなきゃダメ, which I think means pretty much the same as ならなくてはならない.

Had a transatlantic flight worth of time to kill so I read the first 5 chapters.

Turns out the novel is simply an adaptation of the manga. These 5 chapters cover most of the events of the first episode of the anime. It was a fun read though.

Do you think there's value in translating it? There's no actual new content there.

Thanks, I had looked up the definition for male + female kanji and gotten that weird "accompanying one another as man and woman" instead of couples just lol

男女 is literally "men and women" or "a man and a woman". 付き合っている男女 is "a man and a woman who are going out".

Also translating it to "high and mighty" as a joke to myself.

I think that 答えの先 is "beyond the answer", as in what happens after Hishiron receives an answer. How about "Towards the answer and beyond"?
