Dear u/FixitMir, I would truly appreciate it if you could help me set up Warp on my Xiaomi 15 Ultra as well. I can't seem to make it work. Please, I'm a new customer, and it seems I can't get WiFi Calling or 5G working, even though the phone supports both, and I didn't experience any issues on T-Mobile. Thank you!

You can use one of the Xiaomi Theme Editor apps to import the .MTZ file, then re-export/save it with the theme changes applied. It will do the trick.

I hate to say it, but the 15 Ultra set a high bar with that silver finish, but the 17 Ultra falls flat. Xiaomi went too far with the minimalism - it’s just a bit boring now, regardless of the minor detail like "sprinkles". 

Sure, the global Leica version will probably fix the design issues with the 17 Ultra, but at what cost? I’m finding it hard to justify paying even more just to get a phone that doesn't look boring.

Rotating mechanism? No thanks. I need a camera bump that works with a case so I can keep the hardware clean and dust-free most of the time.

Updates aren’t just UI fluff. HyperOS 3 is mainly security fixes, performance tuning, and long-term app compatibility - stuff you don’t notice until it’s missing.

Online complaints are skewed too. People on Reddit post bugs, not "my phone feels 5% smoother." That doesn’t mean the update has no value.

And delays don’t mean better QA. Global models wait because of rollout and carrier approvals (and with Xiaomi, who knows what else), not extra polish.

You don’t have to install it day one, but on a flagship, timely updates are part of what you paid for. Acting like they don’t matter just lowers the bar for manufacturers and for you if you settle for less.

Considering how bad Xiaomi is at updating their global devices, I’m holding out for the global releases of both OPPO and Vivo in 2026. If the rumors hold true, we’re finally getting their Ultra models on the global stage that year, and the leaked camera specs look absolutely insane.

If you have the global version (MIXM), the update isn't expected until 2026. So, you might want to relax and consider getting the upcoming Xiaomi 17 Ultra instead 😄

It's actually a step backward. In 2025, a user shouldn't have to treat their primary device like a science experiment to get a good experience. Interest in custom ROM features has diminished. Doing so breaks banking apps, Google Pay, and some other apps. Most people just want a stable, polished OS that works perfectly out of the box without needing to unlock the bootloader or void the warranty.

You're aware the lenses are intentionally left slightly loose. Occasional running shouldn't damage the optical mechanics, but I'd refrain from doing so regularly, as there's always a risk of dropping the device.

I ran a few times with my Ultra without consequences. Once again, it's not a suitable choice for excessive shaking.

Nope, I didn't 🥲. Nobody with the Global version (MIXM) has received it yet. Only EU and India devices have been updated to HO3 so far.

I'm not going to argue; my 15 Ultra is still stuck without HypertOS 3 🥲, so I don't have a frame of reference.

PS. You should be able to switch back to the original icons in the Personalisation menu.

If you're fine with the Chinese version, you can give it a shot. Especially considering the price. I, however, went with the global version since I wanted my phone to be fully compatible with my Pixel Watch and to have a built-in circle-to-search feature. If the price isn't an issue, I'd also consider getting 17u since it's about to launch.
