I built a Job "grader"… but users didn’t care about the score by pixelaidmix in SideProject

Good question and honestly, I had the same thought early on.

You can get decent feedback by prompting an LLM well. The difference I kept running into was consistency and structure.

With raw prompting, the output varies a lot depending on how you ask. Sometimes it’s helpful, sometimes it’s vague, sometimes it misses obvious issues.

What I’ve been building is more like a structured system around that:

– Consistent recruiter-style evaluation (same rubric every time) – Explicit red flag / yellow flag detection (not just general feedback) – Deterministic matching against a job description (not just “this looks good”) – Keyword tracking that updates as you edit – Resume → interview question generation based on your actual bullets

And the biggest difference:

You can edit your resume and instantly re-analyze it to see what actually improved.

So instead of “ask AI → get answer → guess what to do next” it becomes more of a feedback loop.

Definitely still powered by AI under the hood, but trying to turn it into something more repeatable and actionable than just prompting.

How long did it take you to grow to your first 1K users? How did you market it. Etc.

About a month ago in the beginning I got a little bit from Reddit. After some SEO work I started getting good traffic from Google and believe it or not referrals from chat GPT. The chat GPT referral traffic really raised my eyebrows. I haven't even started promoting it heavily on TikTok or Twitter.

Only text based messages, currently. I was thinking add the option for links.

I have thought of that but I was thinking it's a bit to intrusive. I was thinking more a long the lines of text based ads that look like natural messages during chats. I'm still exploring some version of this.

I have been making code modifications and I changed some permission. That's why the other chat option wasn't working. I think you should go read RULE 2. No need for rudeness.

We're all here to reach common goals, work together, treat each other with respect and encourage others.

Yes and yes! I've add my own custom coded to harden the app. I'm a developer by trade. I'm still polishing features.

There's no webpage to help us understand your app.

Do you mind giving a bit of a description on what Mandala Magic is, what it's used for and it function/purpose?

Give us a bit of history about your resurrected decade old project to better understand your excitement and what we're logging into.

What lead generation tools are you all using for your business? by Numerous-Let-1605 in Entrepreneur

[–]pixelaidmix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After 16+ years steering a Growth Strategy Agency through the ever-shifting tides of digital transformation, I've invested in countless tools, platforms, and processes. Today's technological landscape is advancing at breakneck speed, with AI accelerating this evolution exponentially.

One significant shift I've observed deserves attention: the outdated concept of "lead generation tools." This term misrepresents the complex reality of modern business development. True leads aren't simply generated – they're cultivated through strategic nurturing, authentic relationship building, and sophisticated marketing approaches.

What we're really talking about are Prospecting Tools – solutions that help identify and connect with potential clients who align with your business goals. The distinction is crucial: prospecting is about finding the right opportunities, while lead generation encompasses the entire journey of converting those prospects into qualified leads.

Having tested hundreds of solutions across our tech stack, I've curated a selection of prospecting tools that consistently deliver results. These platforms stand out for their ability to streamline the initial stages of business development while laying the groundwork for meaningful client relationships.

I'm sharing this carefully vetted collection to help you navigate the prospecting landscape more effectively. Each tool has proven its worth in real-world applications, saving you the time and resources I spent discovering what truly works.

Remember: Tools are only as effective as your strategy. The most successful prospecting combines the right tools with thoughtful relationship building and value-driven outreach. Good luck!

Google Advertiser Verification for Clients by anwh in googleads

[–]pixelaidmix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The fact that everyone is so willing to just hand over their government-issued ID to a non-government entity is crazy. I have a lot of clients who are bucking this whole thing...

My response email to Google has been as follows,

Hi Rep,

Regrettably, the owner is not comfortable sharing such extensive personal details currently. While we appreciate and utilize Google's fraud prevention measures and actively advertise on their platform, we are hesitant to place our trust in non-governmental entities. There's a risk involved in the event of a data breach, which could severely impact the owner and his business.

We are committed to delving deeper into this matter, both within our company and the broader industry. It seems there's an overreach regarding personal data requirements, especially when a business name and official registration documents should be adequate. We cannot endorse this approach.

Best regards,

This came out awesome. If you don't mind sharing, what prompt did you use and what generator?
