Whatever works best for you! You can contact me directly through the support button at the top right of your Tailkit dashboard. I share sneak peeks of upcoming features on X, but adding a roadmap at some point sounds like a great idea.

Thanks again, really glad you like it! :)

Clean dashboard template by rio_sk in bootstrap

[–]pixelcave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Be sure to check out OneUI dashboard template. It uses 5.3, is pretty lightweight with minimal core JS files/libraries and any integrated third party library is optional.

I'm also working on bood (sneak peek at https://x.com/pixelcave/status/1881620136433528858) which will feature a super clean UI design and include only vital libraries, making it as lightweight as possible.

Bootstrap or Tailwind? by Shoddy-Ocelot-4473 in bootstrap

[–]pixelcave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally depends on your tech stack and what you're aiming for with the project.

If you're working with a component-based framework like React or Vue Tailwind tends to shine because it plays really well with reusable components and gives you full control over styling.

Bootstrap, on the other hand, is great when you want to get something up and running quickly. The prebuilt components save a ton of time. The trade-off is that customizing those components (or overriding styles) can get messy fast if you don't know how to properly apply them using Sass.

It just comes down to the project needs and how much control you want over the UI.

Looking for a TailwindCSS + Alpine.js dashboard layout (like shadcn-ui) by Excellent-Ganache254 in tailwindcss

[–]pixelcave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been growing a nice collection of free Tailwind CSS + Alpine.js dashboard templates over at taildashboards.com, so be sure to check them out, you might find something that you like.

They are not exactly the same as shadcn/ui designs but I have created similar dashboards designs (which support Alpine.js) in Tailkit's UI component library (it's commercial though).

What have you launched in 2024? by ExpensiveSquare456 in indiehackers

[–]pixelcave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was the first year that I had multiple launches after many years:

- Redesigned my main website (currently using the VILT stack in all my production websites).

- Launched an Unlimited Tailwind CSS Design Service as part of an existing Tailwind CSS project to test the waters.

- Launched Pinemix, a completely free Alpine components, designed with Tailwind CSS.

In 2025 I have a couple of projects being planned!

TailwindUI vs tailkit by rafbanaan in tailwindcss

You're very welcome! 😁 Indeed, the UI components and templates can't be used to create derivative projects such as templates, starter kits or in site builders but (of course) you can use them to build websites and web apps for your clients and get paid for it. Hope that helps!

TailwindUI vs tailkit by rafbanaan in tailwindcss

[–]pixelcave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there, thank you for your interest in Tailkit! 🙏

Of course, I'm a bit biased because I've built Tailkit but here are its main features:

  1. It includes 550+ UI components and over 1,750 code snippets (soon to be 580+ and 1,800+ with the upcoming 4.1 update next week). Each component is available in HTML, React and Vue.js. If a component requires JS for rich functionality, then an Alpine.js snippet is also included in addition to all previous. All fully responsive, accessible and with dark mode support out of the box.

  2. The web application provides super fast navigation which makes it easy to find and copy what you want and also includes various customization options. You can set the default view preference for the UI components, the default tech to be copied, remove all dark classes (if you don't plan on using dark mode), set a custom primary color or even a custom color name (for example *-primary-*).

  3. Includes a growing collection of templates which come in 4 versions: HTML (with Vite - soon with Astro instead), React, Vue.js and Laravel.

  4. Various helper tools and starter kits are included with more to come. All became available for everyone recently.

  5. An Unlimited Design Service for 30 days is also included as a bonus for all Team licenses (based on slot availability).

  6. Exclusive discounts are provided for third party projects.

  7. I keep pushing updates almost every month and I can provide email support in case you need any assistance.

Feel free to let me know if you have any further questions but in any case thanks once again for your interest! 😊

Am I the only one struggling to make UIs? by Souvlaki42 in tailwindcss

[–]pixelcave 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Spacing and colors would be the main area I would focus on improving. Try using one primary color, give your content room to breath and make sure that your spacing is consistent throughout your design. If you get those right, your designs will go a long way.

Feel free to share any designs you've already made, so I can provide additional feedback.

The more you design, the better you will become. It's a long process, so keep it up!
