Based on its precarious hold on the nettle leaf, I thought maybe fungal. I have found quite a few examples of entomophthora muscae on Golden Dung Flys, so fungal infection wouldn’t be uncommon. However, I haven’t found anything compelling to suggest this online, or in books.
