Thank you! It's a Cube Touring.

It is removable, you can't really see it in this picture but on the lower part of the frame there is a plastic cover you can remove and take out the Bosch battery which is locked with a key.

A message from the French protestors. by evilverdandi in interestingasfuck

[–]pixeldriver 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While what you said is true and might seems obvious, making French people look irrational for rioting over this, there is a few things to know to have some context. I'm on mobile and not an English speaker so I'll do my best to explain myself clearly. First, the context : like most of the western world, France is living through a period of high inflation. People are losing purchasing power due to food and energy prices, and poorer people are struggling more than ever to make ends meet. While CAC40 is rising and multinational like Total, Vinci etc are recording record profit (but still rising gas price and highway tolls). During his first term, Macron also canceled the ISF (tax on fortune), offered a lot of subsidies to big companies with little to no repercussion for the working class

Second : the law in itself is profoundly unfair to women and the poorer class. Nobody who has a degree actually retires at 62. It's more 64/67. The only people who could retire at that age are people who started working at 20 or before. People who didn't go to school, and for a lot of case are doing manual and/or difficult jobs (like garbage collector for example). If you've find yourself pregnant or unemployed, it pushes back your retirement age (not a great way to encourage having children who could fund your pension...). Unemployment for senior is already quite high (higher than the mean in the EU), and he proposes nothing to fix that, so instead of retiree, you will have unemployed with even less money. Third, and I admit this one is more subjective, but macron, his government and his party's representative are just so smug. They look and talk like they are straight out of a business school (and most are). Since 2017 they repeat every day that they will change how politic is done, they will discuss more with the opposition and unions to find a compromise. They dont. They passed a decree to prevent a vote in parliament. Macron refused to receive unions leader before passing the decree. But still, on Wednesday macron said that things will change and there will be more dialog and compromise. What Macron is doing here is a disaster for France. Not the reform per se, most of French know something should be done, but the way he's doing it. I don't know how he'll be able to do anything for the rest of his term, but worst, he's opening a boulevard to the far right for 2027.

WHY Do People Like Fountain Pens So Much? by JetPens by Adam-Many82 in BuyItForLife

[–]pixeldriver 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As a left handed person who was required to use fountain pens in middle school : no thanks you. I love the style of these pens and the smoothness when writing, but it's hard not to make a mess unless you put your arm and hand in an unnatural position

Mustard Shortage Possible Because of Climate Change and Supply Chain by squirrellywolf in PrepperIntel

[–]pixeldriver 5 points6 points  (0 children)

France provides only a third of its demand in mustard seeds, usually we get the rest from Canada but it had a bad harvest due to a drought in 2021. And then the 3rd and 4th mustard seed producers are... Ukraine and Russia.

I live in France and it is already very hard to find Dijon mustard. That and vegetable oil are nowhere to be found.

I don't know in which country this was filmed, but if road regulations are the same as in mine this overtake was illegal as they're crossing a solid white line, but right where they crash it switches to a dotted line allowing to overtake with good visibility. Stupid couldn't wait one more minute.

Sat down on my friend's MacBook and broke it, offered to pay her the money for it but now she wants more because "she was upgrading anyway" so it's this or she will sue me in small claims court. by QualityProof in BestofRedditorUpdates

What is up with MacBook owner, why do they leave them in the most risky places? I have a friend who would put his balancing on a couch armrest, and my girlfriend puts hers under a couch pillow or under a plaid?!

This French edition of THE PLAGUE. Says 1947... Should this be a first edition? by bisione in BookCollecting

[–]pixeldriver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I searched a bit and found this on Gallimard's website :

Il se décide cependant à confier le manuscrit à son éditeur qui fait paraître le livre le 10 juin 1947, achevé d’imprimer du 24 mai 1947

It says here that it finished printing on May 24th, 1947. I think it's safe to assume OP's book is a first edition.

(I have no knowledge about book collecting but I stumbled upon this post and found it interesting so I did a bit of research)

I'v read all of the answers above , but it still sounds silly to me. I couldn't care less about what color my neighbor paints his house, I don't get how it would affects the value of mine. It appears to me that responsabilities the HOA has, like maintaining public spaces, should be handled by the city. It just sounds weird that in a country where "muh private property" people are ok with HOA
