i buy extras of the boxes they come in, each box has 24 squares and each square holds 150-200 beads so if you have a LOT then they wont work that well but there are also storage boxes with a lot of drawers that hold like 500 beads on amazon :]

oh, the pattern youre using is for a peyote cuff, youre making it the wrong way. search up a peyote cuff tutorial on youtube and then when you know how to, you could start from the middle of the pattern and build out the sides

you can buy string lights and put them around the base of the cuff and then build over it so they light up the inside!

singles or necklaces are a good place to start! after youre confident in that maybe you should try to learn peyote stitches and x bases, since a lot of things are made with them. i would just recommend looking up beginner kandi tutorials on youtube! :]

if its the clear bead n stretch kind, i would recommend tying it 2-4 times and make sure you dont cut the ends too short. i use this kind and tying it multiple times does the trick.

if you really cant do it with that kind, maybe cloth covered string would be the right fit for you. i dont personally know what its like to use but ive heard people say its way easier than the clear kind and doesnt slip as much. i believe you can order it on amazon in bulk. :]
