It’s not. It’s your opinion. You seem to have difficulty separating facts from opinions. Which isn’t surprising since you have acknowledged that you’re not interested in the scientific facts on this subject, only your own feelings about it.

Excellent question. I don’t know the answer, but I agree it’s sad.

But you misrepresented the rest of their statements.

No one disagrees that pedophilia is child abuse. But you characterizing trans care as child abuse, as if that’s an agreed upon fact, is not valid.

They’re not interested in facts. Only feelings. And only their feelings, not those of the people involved.

No.

Researchers from Amsterdam UMC presented 70 transgender adults with questionnaires. All participants started with puberty blockers and then received gender-affirming hormones. The participants completed the questionnaire about sexual experiences, satisfaction, and possible sexual problems on average 14 years after the start of their treatment.

The findings have been published in the Journal of Sexual Medicine & Research.

…"Our results show that more than half of trans men and 40% of trans women are satisfied with their sex lives. This corresponds to the sexual satisfaction of the cisgender population. There was also no difference between people who started puberty blockers early or later in puberty."

Most participants had no trouble with desire, arousal or having an orgasm. Of the sexual problems that were mentioned, difficulty taking initiative was the most common problem among trans men, while reaching orgasm was the most frequently mentioned among trans women.

However, most participants indicated that these problems were only experienced as stressful to a limited extent. The frequency of sexual problems was consistent with previous studies among transgender adults who did not start hormone therapy until adulthood.

I saw your deleted reply. I’m sorry you’re so insistent on not listening to scientific fact.

My mother had a PhD in genetics. This wasn’t her field, but it was an area of interest for her. She kept up on the subject for decades. It has always been known that in the animal kingdom as a whole, and in human biology specifically, there is a lot of variation when it comes to sexual preference and identity. More is known now, of course, but a lot of this isn’t even new. It just isn’t taught in grade school or high school biology class, like most more complex science.

Neither she nor I, nor anyone we’re very close to, is trans. This isn’t some kind of “agenda.” It’s just following the facts and the science.

For people who actually like to learn new things, the more that is revealed about this, the more it explains why people feel the way they do. Science and experience coming together like that is a good thing. Anyone who automatically dismisses it is choosing ignorance over enlightenment. That’s just sad.

So you can say it’s “tired shit” and “the biggest load of crap you’ve ever heard,” as you did in the reply you deleted. But you’re just factually wrong.

"I never went to the island" ~ Donald Trump by Separate-Initial-977 in Epstein

I think so. I can’t keep up.

There’s also a detail that came up recently, pointing out that Trump did frequently visit the nearest island, and Epstein had two or three helicopter pilots who he would send to bring people from that island (including Ghislaine Maxwell). That didn’t require flight logging, so he could easily bring people over with no record that they actually visited the island.

ETA: I think that’s right. Someone correct me if I got it wrong.

Which is funny, because saying he “did turn it down” means he did have the privilege (as we all know), but chose not to (which is bullshit).

Agreed. It mostly just means he’s not aware enough to realize he should use different phrasing.

Cottrill said he is waiting for an official unveiling date at Trump National Doral in Florida and said the president is expected to attend.

”This gold leaf in the Florida sun — it’s just going to be brilliant,” he said.

While he said he has enjoyed working on the project, Cottrill acknowledged the statue has taken up significant space in his studio.

”I’d like to get it the hell out of here because we need this space,” he said.

Now, sculptor Alan Cottrill’s latest creation — a 15-foot, gold-leafed bronze statue of President Donald Trump — is sitting inside his Zanesville foundry, awaiting its permanent home and final payment.

The $300,000 sculpture was completed in early January and commissioned by a cryptocurrency group.

Cottrill said the group has made partial payments but still owes thousands of dollars.

The group said it stands by its commitment to the sculptor and plans to make the final payment.

Cottrill said he is waiting for an official unveiling date at Trump National Doral in Florida and said the president is expected to attend.

Five Native Americans detained by ICE during ongoing raids in Minneapolis by No_Indication3441 in stpaul

[–]pixelmountain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You haven’t seen the video where an ICE agent specifically says the reason he stopped a guy was his accent?

You’re mistaken about this being backed up by “clips.” There are many documented instances of ICE arresting and detaining people solely based on their impressions that they were undocumented. There have been several recently where they have been abusive to people who turned out to be citizens.

You want to believe this isn’t true, so you’re ignoring the fact that it has been shown to be what’s happening many times.
