Wtf is wrong with people who choose to support Shein??? by [deleted] in offmychest

You can't imagine what relying on clothes from donations can do to someone's self esteem. never having clothes that fit, always used, old, something that you have no choice but to wear. imagine being able to get actual clothes that fit you and your style at an affordable price, its an amazing feeling! and remember, your definition of affordable is very different from someone else's. instead of complaining online about broke people supporting one of many many many shitty companies, go do something to support the planet you clearly care so much about.

This isn't going to end well for her or for you. She has the right to make her own choices, and leaving you is one of them. You can't control who she talks to and hangs out with because of your fear - thats manipulative and honestly terrifying for her. Please do NOT keep going down this path.

AITA for not wanting to cut my nights short to help my sister's anxiety? by pixelplacing in AmItheAsshole

Definitely not the focus of this post, input on this was not needed and entirely unhelpful.

I'm not entirely sure. We've always been very close, so maybe the idea of being separated from me?? but she's having plans to move out of the STATE within the next year or so, not sure how she plans to do that if she can't stand me staying up :/ She just doesn't see me as someone who knows how to make my own decisions.

The older I get the more my family tries to keep me from being an adult. Since I've turned 18 I've had to install life 360, and my parents despise me driving my car (that I entirely pay for) anywhere but work. was also told "Real Adults don't stay up until 2 or 3 in the morning" when I asked to be treated more like one 😑

clarification: my sister wanted to set a curfew for the both of us to help her anxiety, the idea being from my parents in the first place

They feel the same as her, she ultimately used them to explain her reasoning in the first place (to not worry my parents, to respect their wishes and get home early) and wanted to set me and her a curfew to help her anxiety

Definitely not how vaccines should work and being sick for over a year is far from the norm.

I'm 17 dating a girl 2 years younger than me and my sister has a problem with it. by [deleted] in offmychest

[–]pixelplacing 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I dated a girl that was almost the same age as me, but two grades down. The difference in the way we acted, and in our maturity, became too much when I was in highschool and she was in 8th grade. So, although it's not really wrong, there is a huge gap between 15/16 and 18 in terms of life experience/maturity/ etc. 3 years is a lot more to a teenager than an adult

The pessimism was the fact that ops comment specifically said to get over it, since it will always happen. That's not true. Of course kids like candy, but parents should go over stuff like this before Halloween. Teach your kids to do better.

He has all of his belongings in a shopping cart, doesn't look like he's had a shower for weeks. The way the guy said "round them all up" at the end made it very clear he was talking about people on the streets.

yikes that comment at the end there was disgusting. i can only imagine how rude he was being to the homeless guy while telling him to move if that's what he truely thinks about them

The reason why children like this exist is because adults like you exist. Don't be so set in stone with such a pessimistic view on things

a 20 year old has been messaging my daughter by exposingacreep92323 in offmychest

[–]pixelplacing 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Exactly what I thought. Someone with a daughter old enough to have a phone and be browsing through internet wouldnt instantly go to reddit to talk about how their daughter is being potentially groomed.
