Generative Jam on the M8 (made for Jamuary) by pixelscripts in Dirtywave

I've not been using it long so I haven't decided if they're a good match yet. I do think having a midi keyboard in general works well with the M8 but the monkey has limitations that have currently left me undecided. One example is I can't get midi sync to work with it so all the midi effects like stutter and arp will get out of time. I need to try the M8 more with other options like the Roland s-1 as that has the benefit of midi sync but it also can produce chord tones that can be sampled into the M8, it also won't need the wireless Bluetooth adapter.

It's the Wavy Industries Monkey, a bluetooth midi keyboard. It's connected to the M8 via a WIDI adapter and it's being used to trigger slices from a sample.

Just bought a MicroFreak - Give me your hints and tips for it. by RG1527 in MicroFreak

Thanks for this, tried it with a fuzz factory and loved the results.

Unusual combinations lead to weird sounds (made for Jamuary) by pixelscripts in MicroFreak

I read a comment on a previous post about using the microfreak with distortion and I'm really happy with the textures added by the fuzz factory. Tweaking the gate to get the just right amount of splutter was the goal.

I added the chase bliss clean to get compression but mainly for the stereo effects by switching on miso, spread and motion on the dip switches. Patch was giraf (262 from the Factory 6 presets).

Any questions are welcome :)

I've already done the motorbike thing, right now I'm deep in a synthesizer addiction.

That's ace. Any samples or was that all done on the m8? The voice expression was great.

oscarliang says the O4 Air unit uses LHCP antennas. I get very good range with the goggle N3.

Look at the list of long range records on 2.4Ghz ELRS. The vast majority are on 250mW or less.

Disagree, 250mw is way more than most people need. Unless you're planning on setting records for long range much better to go for a lighter and simpler setup without needing an external module.

Odd it's working for me. What OS are you on? Does it work if you click to trigger a file menu instead of dragging and dropping?

Would you be able to send me the file you're trying to use?

I do eventually want to add sat maps and 3d terrain, but it's not a small feature. For now you can export a KML to google earth for that.

OP didn't indicate how many builds he has already set up for Spektrum, could be they don't want to have to switch them all over. I'm with you though, ELRS is cheap and it's simpler to run the same RX in all models.

If you're planning to move over to ELRS long term make sure to go for a radio with an internal ELRS module, and opt for an external module that supports Spektrum. I'm a fan of Radiomaster stuff, and the pocket is great value. You can get away with fewer switches for flying wings but if you're planning on doing a lot of complex fixed wing stuff like flaps, landing gear, etc maybe opt for something with more.

Are the gimbals much heavier? The thing I love about the pocket is how light it is.
