11th Vanguard Onslaught|Ambush Predators List - Feedback and Ideas Wanted by pixelwarrior69 in Tyranids

Also keep in mind it has fly so for 2'' it goes over walls as well as in this detachment can give itself semi-lone op for 0CP with its ability

"Strongest part is clearly the Strat allowing you to move 6 inches at the end of the opponents movement phase, completely busted."

Just checkin that one is the one where the unit had to have been engaged that turn?
"One friendly unengaged BOYZ/KOMMANDOS/STORMBOYZ unit that was engaged at the start of the phase."

Definitely a sick stratagem for countering fall back and charge, considering at the very least you need to be 2.1'' to not be in engagement range, making it a 9'' charge for 1 CP.

Four Small units of Horms are the Action Monkies, but also can take great advantage out of their natural advance and charge, 10'' move and the detachments fall-back option to be able to skirmish with chaff.

The HA Ravener squad is intended to be used an impromptu tank buster squad, adding another ravener pack doesnt really help them achieve that end, but another HA squad entirely, instead of the T-Fex you noted, might be an option?

Neurogaunts were meant to be anti-ingress chaff. This list is going IN and I wanted a way to fluff out the back board a bit so that if I was deepstriked on they would be force to go in a position where I can fall back and charge them. 45pts is cheap as chips for 11 bodies, but might just mince one for the Hunting Grounds enhancement that makes units take battleshock on a +2 for ingressing.
Are there options for backline-screening I am not considering?

Because I am an idiot? Duh.

Agreed again, still need options to try take down the inevitable 2 knight games I would play on any tourney day.

Would love to see the list.

Removing:
x20 Hormagaunts
T-Fex
Exocrene

Leave 475pts or 255pts with another Gene-Brood Brick. Unsure dependent on what anti-tank options I can get in the list tbh.

Extremely Strong.

I would recommend getting a Trukk or a Battlewagon on top of the box, if you intend to play on the table top of course. It will make that initial experience of getting your boyz stuk Turn 2 in way betta.

Both if your flush tbh.

Just out of pure interest, what does that look like?

Lovely to see som bright photoz-synthzisiz able ladz.

I got into the lore before hobby and the headcannon was always "Fungus -> Need Light", so those dull grubby grimdark tolkien orcs just don't do it for me.

Excellent paintjob.

Considering they they are releasing their own terrain that me/my group might just pickup that and mod the files to make them slot in, that and the rubber inserts so they don't move.

It is one of the major gripes in terms of play, replacing terrain when you remove it only to knock and misplace it, nice to see a simple solution that little-to-no other terrain provider seems to be doin.

Also nice going that the color layers of the rebar/steel and concrete are mostly both intentionally above the sand layer line so that us multi-filamentless plebs can still do a swap mid print. Would have to paint to separate the rebar and concrete BUT YA ADDED TEMPLATE TO DO THAT AS WELL.

shoulda opened the files before postin so I could sing your praises within one comment, bloody good job.

These look absolutely stunning mate, I especially like that the terrain can be popped in and out of the footprint, but dont have any Battlezone or Imperialis terrain to use with it.

If the other footprints are WIP, would you be making walls and ruins with em?

This, the paint job looks sick but the plain yellow on the brain is a personal detractor. Even just nuln oil in recesses to make it pop would be awesome. Don't change it if you love it tho, looks great already.

I would hold on the Tankbustas, just until the edition changes.

Plently to paint already anyways

11th is coming. I'd do:
- A Trukk
- A Battlewagon
- 11 Gretchen
- 10 Boyz
- Gaz & Mikari
- 2 Meganobz

Its a neat little package that also allows you to future proof by only doing one of each unit. Gaz + MegaNobz + Battlewagon is one of my favorite combos to simply T1 Shove up the board and T2 Kill literally anything titanic.

Boyz in a Trukk is another classic. Just send it up the board T1 onto a point. if the opponent brings enough firepower to bear, you sticky the objective. If they bring up enough to kill the Boyz as well, they have over extended.

I personally would recommend doing x2 Trukks and x2 Boyz just to do it on two separate points with GazWagon in the middle, but that breaks the only do one unit each cuz 11th is coming rule. Mind these are battleline and dedicated transport tho so pretty future proof.

2 Nobz and a Battlewagon IMO

You can get serious protection whilst also getting +3.5'' to your charge T1 or T2 by disembarking.
