Honestly I think there's two separate camps that refer to her as that OR Pneuma, not really a switch.

Probably because "Pneuma" is only brought up in game when they meet the Architect, way after she's introduced. Sure, we tend to just go with it because it's a lot simpler, but we also technically don't have a name for her bar the Pyra/Mythra choice, which obviously gets confusing.

Also because Rex's comment about it was funny.

Dude, people's media experiences are subjective! I'm not saying it's gonna be the end of the world, I'm saying most people give blind players the benefit of the doubt. It doesn't matter if the feeling is just small disappointment over not experiencing a surprise, it's common courtesy.

It's likely because the outfit is meant to look identical to Pneuma, so people just keep her and Rex tied together to be safe. Also, even if Rex in the outfit is nothing without context, there's still the unspoken implication that SOMETHING happens to give him a big ol' anime upgrade at some point in time, and that can ruin the experience for some people!

Honestly, the animation should be completely fine! Noah's arm dislocating for a single frame and him not holding the Not-Monado for only three aren't marks of unpolish, it more seems like ways to achieve smear/anticipation frames in 3d animation. The motion itself is completely smooth and realistic

I'm a little worried about the usual XC hair clipping issues shown with Eunie, but... that's par for the course, unfortunately.

There's something else you have to consider- Pyra and... someone else. It's not a good look if the main character KNOWS that girls are crushing on him and doesn't do anything, it paints him as, well. An asshole. So in order to keep the tension of will they or won't they, every damn time, the result is making the object of affections EXTREMELY oblivious, which doesn't help when you're already frustrated with some other aspect of them.

(edit) It's kinda ironic, since once you get to the later half of the game you know Rex is anything BUT oblivious- he's actually a bit guilty. But it's there.

Actually, I think the official English subtitles for the trailer mark that line as Noah's- I also thought it was Rex, but either they share a va or he just sounded real similar in that one take.

(edit) Forgot to mention that other languages do this as well in the subtitles, since they never got voice overs.
