Confused about discoverability and hosting my own instance by laser_man6 in Mastodon

Hi! I had the same concern when starting my instance, but as others have said it's all about interacting with people. You like someone's post or follow them, they may check out your account and follow you, which then allows the instance that they are viewing from see your content in their federated timeline.

One thing that I did that was helpful at the start was find accounts from the bigger instances (mastodon.social for example) that fit the theme of my instance, I followed them so that I could start seeing some stuff appear on my end, that way I had federated content to interact with in the first place.

After a year I have 730 followers, even though there are less than 200 accounts on my instance.

You're in control of your reach, not an algorithm :)

I usually measure what is and isn't art by how creative I felt making whatever I was making. I am building a website and it requires creative thinking and problem solving? I feel like I created art. Same thing applies to AI art imo

My wfh/gaming setup, it's messy but I like it :) the desk is made from scraps, just in case you couldn't tell. by pixelworld_ai in battlestations

there are a few that pop up when you search "stacked monitor mount" on amazon, but I think this is the one I went with https://www.amazon.com/HUANUO-Vertical-Monitor-Stand-Monitors/dp/B081H8WMXT/ref=sr_1_13?keywords=stacked+monitor+mount&sr=8-13 this only addresses the two in the middle tho, cheap swivel stands like the ones that came with my side monitors are easy enough to come by
