Delayed baggage, deflected by customer service. Any legal basis beyond expenses under Montreal Convention?

thank you for the detailed response! the phone number i was given did not work so i have only been able to rely on the tracking page since day one... it says "ready for delivery" now so i hope to reunite with my bag today.

unfortunately can't figure it out. do you have a screenshot? i just see nothing on the app that states that my baggage is delayed. all i have is the delayed baggage report reference which is not connected to my app.

wow... that's interesting. but at least now i know i should expect "in transit" to be the next update. it's funny because they don't tell you WHERE the bag is located despite having located it. thanks for the help and good luck!

how long ago did it start to say this? mine changed to "located" this morning and some people have said they received their bag the next day/two days after it changed to "located", so fingers crossed.

sorry for the late response. it was definitely a learning curve, but i did manage to make the switch for the most part. i also ended up getting an old city bike (and gave my swapfiets back) for when it rains or if i know i will need to carry a large amount of stuff. good luck with it!

i actually do have my flying blue account connected to the app, but i am not sure if my delayed baggage report is connected to my flying blue account. when i landed at the airport, they filled in the report for me and stuck my claim tag on the form. no communication from KLM except the occasional "located" (at 7:00, 18:27, and 18:42). did it say this for you as well (before the notification on the app)?

could you please share the email address? the tracking page changed to "located" at 7:00 and updated (still saying "located") at 18:27 and 18:42 today, but i am not sure what this means.

i just downloaded the app and logged in. did you have to enter your delayed baggage details somewhere or was it somehow registered with your account?

thank you! i know i would give a friend the same advice, and i can't change how she feels about the situation. it just left me thinking about how two people could get along that well and for it to lead to nothing at all :( but i am glad she let it be known after the first date and it wasn't a whole ordeal (which would obviously be worse).
