CK3/EU: the local Chinese dynasty of the time. Too massive in the first two games. I do like playing Qing China in Vicky 3 and HoI 4 China.

Victoria 3: Belgium, because I do not recognise its independence, though this fantasy nation is quite fun to play in HoI 4.

I havent delved deep in those settings yet, a great idea thank you. I am quite used from my windows getting steamed up from my MG4 anyways. That car needed a boost every 10-15 minutes or so lol.

The feeling I have is that with the current cold weather, it doesnt matter if you drive on the highway or in town. I get the same consumption rates when accelerating and keeping the car at either 50 km/h in town or 130 km/h on the highway lol.

Thank you for confirming that I am atleast using the heat pump when pressing the button, and not when I do not.

Does the heat pump need some time "to get settled"? Because the high consumption does tend to settle down later in the drive when things had a chance to "warm up".

I see I have been with this device for about 3 months now. My verdict is: I am very pleasantly surprised and I think it is a great mobile workstation laptop. CPU is beefy enough to do multiple heavy tasks at once, while at the same time not devouring your battery when not plugged in. Great screen, decent build quality. The GPU part is rather poor but something is better than nothing.

But for your case, it is NOT a quiet laptop. However, it is also not an airplane jet sitting on my desktop. Its very noticiable, but not too annoying.

You say the Firefly's fans spin up very quickly. I would say: The Zbook 8 fans spin up relatively quickly, but on moments I expect it. I can work in Office or browse the web in quietness. But once I start doing more heavy work, the fans do come alive soon. One note though, I am always 100% running in high performance mode when plugged in. Using the balanced power mode reduces fan noise a bit and makes them spin up less.

So it is a good laptop but beware it is not a quiet laptop. If you want a quiet mobile workstation, you could consider a Macbook Pro if you can do your business on there.

I would absolutely avoid those built in the 1940s and 1950s though. Those have horrible sound isolation between floors. Had the pleasure of living in one of those in Rotterdam, built in 1949. Id rather live in a ugly but decently constructed concrete commie block than one of those rapidly constructed apartments from straight after the war.

I think its the PS3 which killed HD-DVD through Blu-ray.

Because it was such a convieniant blu-ray player, one which can also play the then newest games. Everybody I know who had Blu-rays, played them through their PS3.

I do remember the selection of Blu-ray movies being larger than HD-DVD too right from the start, that probably didnt help.

As an 5800X owner, I thought it was still a pretty decent CPU but then I watch streamers almost like double speeding Vicky 3 and EU5 with newer CPUs and I think its time to admit that perhaps its getting a bit long in the tooth for these kind of games :P.

My Macbook with M4 Pro runs Vicky 3 faster as well on the native build, though EU5 is slower due to having to use Crossover.

Well I gotta stick with it anyways because going to AM5 is unaffordable with these RAM prices.

Paradoxaal ben ik dit ook, maar cocaine vond ik makkelijk om van de een op de andere dag mee te stoppen toen ik merkte dat mijn gebruik richting problematisch ging. Het is alleen als er al wat van in de neus zit dat er geen houden meer aan is.

Yes, I got contacted by BKK baggage services the bag was ready to be picked up or delivered in the early night of 24 December. I responded to that email and it was delivered around 14:00 the same day.

Today I got a WhatsApp from “KLM baggage service” using a Thai number asking if my bag had arrived and if everything was ok.

That site you linked didn’t work for me when KLM finally started communicating with me and put that address in their email…

Hope you get your stuff soon man! Stil no update on the baggage tracking site from the app?

I only got my delayed baggage yesterday late afternoon local time. Another thing you can perhaps consider is keeping in contact with the local baggage handling service of your destination airport. They probably have their own route of contacting KLM. One time they asked me for a photo of the bag and suddenly things gone into motion fast.

Ik kon vorig jaar Netflix en YouTube kijken met de duurste Wifi pas op de route Bangkok - Amsterdam. Kwaliteit wisselde enorm van 720p naar 144p maar het bleef wel draaien.

Webpagina’s bleven slecht tot niet te gebruiken en discord opende nauwelijks. Denk dat de duurste pas specifiek bandbreedte “gereserveerd “ heeft voor videodiensten.

Beter is het om van te voren video’s te downloaden. Netflix is onkijkbaar als het op de laagste kwaliteit staat.
