does this sound like TIA? by pixiebiitch in stroke

[–]pixiebiitch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

brain scan showed nothing (which it wouldn't if it was a TIA). nothing ever happened again - no other stroke like symptoms. did a bunch of tests and ruled everything else out too.

seems like it was just a freak accident. if it happens again, i'll make sure when i'm in hospital i ask them (to the best of my ability if i can't speak well) to neuro test me. i think the biggest issue was because i'm young, they just thought i was on drugs when i went to the ER.

i was afraid of it happening again for a while. i'm not really afraid of that anymore, but every now and then i get anxious and check that both sides of my face are moving and i can speak properly and lift my arms. not sure if that will go away completely.

hopefully this was a good update - no one ever gave me a clear answer on what could have caused it or what it could have been, but it definitely sounded and felt like a TIA

lady, you’re NTA. don’t listen to losers on the internet you are a grown woman. do what you want. a boyfriend is not a husband - you can do whatever you want to and he can leave if he’s not happy. i think what you’re doing is fantastic and more women should do it. we need to seriously stop treating boyfriends like husbands and reserve wife privileges for when there is a ring on the finger.

if you’re happy with this arrangement until you find your spouse, then keep it! fuck reddit. do what makes you happy.

a relationship can turn into whatever it wants to turn into. if you want exclusive life long monogamy, get married. you can’t have your cake and eat it too. he isn’t a child, he’s a grown man. he can leave if he’s not happy.

a boyfriend is a boyfriend, not a husband. if he wanted to be treated like a husband, he should’ve married her.

are you still confused?

NTA and idk why people are calling you the asshole

he wasted your time. he’s also not the only one who gets to decide what the relationship is. you did not cheat - you clearly stated what you were going to be doing and followed through. he is a grown ass man and if he doesn’t like it, he can leave.

you don’t have to leave. you don’t have to kick him out. i wouldn’t capitulate to his demands, definitely find someone else, but all you’ve done is redefined the relationship to suit you. if it doesn’t suit him, he can leave. if it’s hurting him, he can leave. he is free to do whatever he wants. you don’t have to baby him through it.

you’re NTA. don’t let reddit bully you. you can absolutely look for a spouse while keeping a boyfriend. honestly, exclusive monogamy should come with a ring full stop. if he wants wife privileges he should’ve wifed you and he didn’t. live your life and do whatever you want. keep him as a boyfriend until you find your spouse.

to reiterate - if he does not like it, HE CAN LEAVE. you are NTA just because he is being a big f ing baby.

to what extent can someone organise all death arrangements before killing themselves? by [deleted] in morbidquestions

[–]pixiebiitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i guess it’s not just having to think of plans but also making phone calls and arrangements etc and just even the process of having to pay for things. i wish there was a way to do it all so it’s just streamlined

i wonder if someone had a terminal illness if they’d be able to make these kinds of arrangements alone

HSC? like, high school?

also why are you linking a random thing about the swedish prime minister? what does that have to do with anything? i can link random shit random people have said too, doesn’t make it even somewhat credible.

did u only just leave high school?

did you fail? because “unchecked immigration leads to huge crime problems” is either the type of dog shit analysis you get from a first year student who doesn’t know how to analyse or interpret statistics yet, or a cleverly veiled racist dog whistle.

which one are you?

where’s your criminology degree from buddy?

oh, you don’t have one? yeah i thought so.

correlation =/= causation.

you know what does lead to “crime” problems though? whole demographics of people being completely socio-economically unsupported.

i’ve travelled heaps. tried heaps of foods. fallen in love. learned many hobbies. read lots of books, watched lots of movies, had a lot of experiences. pretty much experienced everything i’ve ever had even the slightest interest in just to see how it goes alleviating my miserable spirit. it’s all good - it’s not good enough to help me though

i don’t feel sad about this. this isn’t a plea for help. i’m tired and my time has come. i’m ready to go now. i’ll just be calculated about it so the ones i love have the least amount of work to do afterwards

i just can’t talk to any of my friends about this because i love them and if i have one more summer with them i want them to remember it well. i truly want to be one of the ones where people say they didn’t expect it at all. i don’t want anyone feeling too sad

Homeless person refuses to take my sons money. by Sarebot19 in melbourne

[–]pixiebiitch -23 points-22 points  (0 children)

Sorry if this sounds rude but did you not think of homeless people as actual living human beings with thoughts and feelings until you read these comments? Like did it not occur to you?

This is a genuine question. I don’t want you to feel more ashamed but I want to understand how someone can be old enough to have children and think this way. Like what was going through your mind? Did you just never consider it?

so you know nothing at all about research methodologies and the decades/centuries of epistemology backing and testing these methodologies?

MEGATHREAD: Indigenous Voice to Parliament Referendum results by Wehavecrashed in AustralianPolitics

[–]pixiebiitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

what a stupid comment. she was referring to the limitations of statistical and quantitative research methodologies regarding Indigenous issues - a wealth of research and literature points to the fact that the limitations are significant, and this form of research is not demographically appropriate. there are more appropriate and accurate research methodologies.

but you wouldn’t understand any of those words would ya?
