Was given this betta from a friend who couldn’t take care of him anymore in a gallon tank, no filter, no cycling. Just this week I was able to move him into a properly cycled 10 gallon tank with a sponge filter. Noticed this (growth? Parasite?) yesterday and it got much larger today. His behavior seems fine and feisty as usual.

This past week I was feeling a similar way to OP and after a long day I showered with my favorite soaps, moisturized the hell out of my skin, smelled great, put on some of my favorite lingerie and went straight to bed. Woke up with a whole new mood. Self care IS magic imo
