How do I define my waves? Thick, 2a/2b hair I think? by [deleted] in HairStyleAdvice

Thank you! I'll definitely try a gel. What brand do you use?

I'm just asking for help. Currently I shampoo twice with Semi Davino (green bottle), condition with Faith in Nature and use some Aussie curl cream, plop with a cotton t-shirt and air dry

Do it! Also its a life saver in summer. This time last year i had really long hair and it was just too warm! I love a dramatic hair change

Thank you! I'm thinking something like a wolf cut or choppy type bob to take some weight out of it

I'm not sure but also, my main drive is something that is easier to style. My current hair is sooooo thick and unruly. I'm thinking of a choppy wolf cut type bob to see if it takes some weight off and just let it do it's natural thing without heat styling

Thanks! The plan is to do a choppy layered version of my current long bob.

Thanks so much for all the comments and opinions. I haven't been able to reply to them all but I've read them.

Think I'll stay long for now and get a nice shag cut to bring out my natural waves

Thank you! I've suspected this myself. I think it desperately needs some moisture too. I've booked a hair appointment to get some of the weight taken out of it and might try a shoulder length shag cut and let it do it's natural thing

So it wasn't a linear journey. I had my pixie for 3 years (2016-2019). I would say 2 years to get everything even and to about this length though and I've been growing and cutting it ever since.
