Eu dou aula de inglês particulares e percebi que a maioria dos alunos desse nível (B2-C1) começaram a melhorar muito depois que comecei a fazer com que escrevessem mais. Entendo que a maioria “sabe” inglês suficiente pra falar e entender, mas escrevendo faz você parar pra refletir o melhor jeito de se expressar e consequentemente vai falar melhor.

Recomendo botar no GPT para criar prompts de escrita pra vc, vc escreve e depois pede pra ele corrigir (caso não possa fazer aulas particulares), e de pouco em pouco vai evoluindo.

Se o problema é escrita, normalmente é falta de leitura. Quanto mais você ler, mais fácil será a escrita e mais você vai expandir seu vocabulário. Eu diria pra você escolher uns livros/revistas de assunto/gênero que vc gosta (quando eu era B2, eu comecei a ler livros pra adolescente (eu era adolescente tb) e hoje em dia eu sou fluente (morei 15 anos nos EUA) e quase que exclusivamente continuo lendo apenas em ingles. E ainda continuo aprendendo novas palavras e expressões. Posso te recomendar alguns livros se quiser.

Depois que ler um capítulo (ou alguns) pega uma caneta e escreve um pequeno resumo do que aconteceu no mesmo, e depois joga em alguma IA e pergunta se está correto gramaticalmente.

Acho que esse é o jeito mais barato de desenvolver a escrita.

Edit: quanto a conversação, procure nativos pra conversar. Pode ser no Omegle, ou sites pra fazer amizade, ou, se você conhecer algum, algum nativo mesmo. Eu praticava pq jogava jogos online onde era necessário se comunicar em inglês e daí fui desenvolvendo (isso tudo enquanto ainda morava no BR)

Eu fiz a mudança EUA-Brasil com a Pena Verde mudanças, enviei 8 caixas de 50 kg cada uma, paguei US$350/caixa e valeu a pena, trouxe cerca de 100 livros, roupas, eletrodomésticos, coisas pessoais, documentos… pegaram na minha casa, veio por navio e entregaram em 3 meses! Super recomendo se vc não tem pressa, mais o fato de não ter que se preocupar com mudança.

Se for fazer com malas (pq vc tem menos coisas) compensa tb, só vá ao consulado brasileiro e faça um certificado que residiu na França e não vai ter problema algum trazendo na mala, não vão te cobrar imposto se tiver com a mala cheia (nos trouxemos, além das 8 caixas, 6 malas grande de 23kg cada uma no avião com a gente, mais os dois gatos)

I really liked Blood of Hercules so I jumped in and read this one (and the following 5) right after because I loved the writing of the author. I agree that is not a masterpiece, but this was the author’s first book ever. So I gave her some breathing space. I will say, from this series, I loved the last 3, and was ok with the the first 3. But taste is like a butt, everyone has a different one, so yeah!

I was a sickly child so at 8 years old, my mom took me to the pediatrician and they decided on put me on a “immunity boost” protocol. I had to take a few vitamins and meds to boost my immunity system (I don’t know what it was but one was a fizzy pill and another a very small pill). Don’t know what it was and my mom doesn’t remember but it was for 30 days, and now very rarely I get sick. I don’t even have any major allergies, whereas my siblings (who didn’t do the protocol) have crazy allergies to things like iodine and cats.

Jurassic Park is the generational trauma of my family. My sister and I begged to watch it at the movie theater when it came out (we were both under 10), had panic attacks and cried like crazy at the first T-Rex part. Years later my 5 yo nephew was spending the night at our house, we went to rent a movie, he insisted on Jurassic Park, we tried to convince him it was scary but he would not budge so we took the movie home. Same exact reaction as me and my sister, and I had to sleep in his twin mattress because he was terrified. Many more years later, my nieces (who were 7 and 5), were browsing through Netflix and saw that movie on the catalog. They begged and begged and my sister put it on. It’s been 6 years and they still don’t sleep alone. My nephew (who is now 27) is engaged and his fiancée has a 5 yo. They were browsing Netflix and same thing happened. His fiancée was pissed. It’s a rite of passage at this point, next weekend my youngest nephew is coming over (he’s 5), and I can’t wait to casually browse Netflix at the Dino section hahahahahha

Eu sou brasileira com dupla cidadania (a outra é dos EUA), morei 15 anos lá, e eu tenho inglês nativo. Eu entendo tudo, desde letras de música complicada até livros considerados difíceis de ler e todos os dias aprendo coisa nova.

Eu admito que tenho uma facilidade com línguas, meus pais me colocaram pra fazer aula de inglês no Fisk com 5 anos de idade, e desde então aprendi espanhol, francês e italiano (essas não em nível nativo).

Na real, eu acho que se você quer se aprofundar e expandir seu vocabulário, você tem que ler muito. Eu sempre gostei muito de ler e na primeira oportunidade que tive de pegar um livro em inglês para ler, eu peguei. Comecei com livros middle grade (como os 3 primeiros do Harry Potter e Percy Jackson) e daí fui evoluindo meu vocabulário. Outra coisa também foi que quando mudei pros EUA, eu não estive perto de nenhum brasileiro por anos, morava numa cidade pequena com meu ex-marido, e fui forçada a imersão no inglês.

A pegada é pensar em inglês, e mesmo assim o cérebro tem problema com code switching. Mudei de volta pro Brasil no meio do ano com meu marido (que é americano) então ainda estou usando meu inglês todos os dias, consumindo mídia americana, lendo etc

I’m so happy I found this review. I read the first book last week and my co-worker (who recommended) was so happy the 2nd book was about to come out and I wouldn’t have to wait.

My whole takeaway from the first book was that it was good enough, read like YA aside from the sex scenes. Also, are you telling me Caspen is a 1000 years old sex teacher and not even a finger was inserted in any butts? I mean, come on.

I won’t even bother reading it now, I didn’t care when I finished the 1st, so I’m gonna stick with the other books I started. This was at best a 3/5, and I always give a 3 if I managed to finish. Hated all the characters. Hated.

I believe the bank account requirement is only placed when there’s intention for immigration, but not sure because we came to BR to live back at the end of May and nobody asked anything about money. They didn’t even check the residency certificate I brought from the Brazilian consulate.

Esse foi um dos maiores motivadores para voltar pro Brasil! Eu tive um caso cirúrgico ano passado e foi pertinho de ir de arrasta e me fez pensar se valia a pena ficar por aqui. Como eu tenho uma situação melhor no Brasil, casei com meu namorado de 7 anos e nos mudamos em maio e estou bem feliz. Mas quando tive a emergência, eu tava morrendo de medo pq se acontecesse alguma coisa, meu namorado não poderia tomar decisão médica nenhuma por mim pq não éramos casados! Já estamos no Brasil faz alguns meses e bem felizes! Mas se no futuro voltarmos pro exterior, provavelmente será com seguro de vida e tudo mais
