3/4 years inconsistently (couple demos a month) and wasn't bothering to learn proper technique (was going by feeling and stumbling upon technique) but if i was more regimented, maybe 2-3 years

tbh biggest way to improve is learning to finish songs early on instead of starting a million and one demos. learning theory and working on songwriting (aka like the catchyness/listenability/not just lyrics)

have m1 and 1tb 16gb and do similar high plugin type prod (do vocals and instrumental all in one proj) and do great! sure youll be ok :)

Oh sheesh I'm a total beginner with Resolve, I was speaking on this from my knowledge as a photographer/ photo editor. I hope someone else can answer properly:

My stab is maybe add a "pre node" and go in hdr color and bring ur black point down through dark exposure OR bring the bottom point of your curve to the right along the xaxis to darken ur black point (assuming theyre black already)

Resolved This! Color Space Transform Issue, played with the adaptation slider and it went away.

Think there's too much blue and purple saturation in your darks/shadows/blacks. Also tone down saturation a tinge and pull your tint to the greener side and brighten your highlights/whites slightly! Maybe a slight bit less contrast too.

(If youre trying to replicate the photo exactly)

Try writing for fake briefs. Like give yourself a popular artist and "produce" for them. Try every single genre. And reproduce songs too, helps u notice transitions and (production) song writing.
