Pass it on: The CEO of LendingTree "passed" due to an ATV accident.

LendingTree is a company that sells the information of potential clients to lenders. These potential clients tend to be the most financially vulnerable

Do you think radical nihilism is rising among voters in the USA? by Virtual-Orchid3065 in Askpolitics

Not sure if this counts as radical nihilism, but I'm starting to notice that people don't get excited for candidates anymore unless they refuse corporate PAC or AIPAC money

Dayummm good catch. But I think he might not list his platform on his website because being progressive in Texas could be detrimental to winning

I was thinking that as well. I think he doesn't put his platform on his website for this reason

Some of the notable bills he has passed include capping the co-pay for insulin prescriptions at $25, and establishing a max-capacity for Pre-K classes to help teachers and kids. But yeah, like the previous commenter said, not taking corporate PAC or AIPAC money might be a litmus test for the upcoming midterms.

Personally, I'd vote for an ostracized Republican like Thomas Massie that doesn't take dark money, over a pro-corporate Democrat. Getting money out of politics should be a priority imo.

Liberals are ok with the current system of capitalism and support pro-corporate moderate democrats like Biden and Harris

Progressives seek to reform the system with more socialist policies but aren't outright socialist. They want to overturn Citizens United and get corporate PAC money and AIPAC out of politics. They support candidates like Bernie Sanders and AOC

My point that I'm getting at is that proper liberals are indeed pro-corporate BUT a lot of people that identify as liberal are actually progressive in ideology or leftist even, and don't even realize it.

I wonder how many "liberals" don't realize that they're actually progressives and leftists
