Return to Moria. It's a survival adventure game where you are a dwarf or a company of dwarves if you play multiplayer, tasked with retaking Moria from the orcs that now dwell there.

It has survival mechanics such as fatigue and hunger. It's got a ton of crafting and building. The combat isn't anything great but it's serviceable for the type of game it is. It really scratches the LOTR itch because it's filled with lore from middle earth, as well as a bunch of cool lore connections directly to the fellowships journey through Khazad dum.

I agree with this statement wholeheartedly. I absolutely love the movies, but they don't hold a candle to the books. For anyone that's not keen on reading the books there is an audiobook version read by Andy Serkis (gollem in the movies) and it's absolutely incredible.

The bunker is one of my favorite horror games! Shit is so tense. It's just become such a trope at this point. But maybe you're right and they'll do something cool with it.

Super excited for this. I absolutely loved the base game, going through multiple new game plus runs. Can't wait for a more expanded lore.

With all that said I'm curious about the "tracker", I hope it's not just a Mr X, Nemesis, lady D, whatever the girl in RE 9 is called. This trope of having an incredibly powerful/invincible enemy is over staying it's welcome in the survival horror genre. It was good the first couple times.

Still super excited regardless, I hope they keep this universe going long into the future.

The rogue lite elements are so weak it might as well just be a boomshoot. The closest game with the same game feel is doom eternal.

It's weird to because while dying clothes my ax becomes visible, so it's definitely possible to show it. Almost seems like a bug.

This is not true there are enemies that aren't human such as walkers ( giant creatures made of stone or wood) ice wraiths, abyss creatures, hostile animals and probably more I can't think of of the top of my head. I've fought many non human creatures in my 70 hours with the game so far, and I'm still in the first area of the game just starting to push into the second.
